I was just wondering wether or not anyone thinks Humanity and the Sangheili will keep in touch after the events of Halo 3?

Of course.

I'd hope to be fighting beside Elites if a Halo 4 is made.

They were fantastic allies. I liked them much more than Noble Team.

Fighting alongside The Arbiter was always cool :]

Unlikely. As Lord Hood said, they can't really forgive eachother for what they did during the Human- Covenant war. Their alliance is more of a "I won't bother you if you don't bother me" kind of thing.

Yes of course they would stay in contact, but never be close.

I thought that, i can imagine alot of uproar if elites and humans were to co-exist. I'd of just hoped we could forgive and forget :'[

It could have something to do with the fact that Master Chief killed over a thousand Sangheili on the different Halos and proved that their society, culture, and religion were all based upon lies.

Or it could have something to do with the fact that the Covenant killed thousands of UNSC forces, Obliterated most of the human colonies via Glassing Beams that killed all surface life, & massacred almost all of the UNSC's most prized "supersoldiers"?

Humanity would NEVER hold a grudge of any kind towards a society hellbent on destroying them. They'd be quite polite and merely acquiesce to the aliens commands.

Both were to blame for the hostilities. Though the Covenant did technically start it by ordering Humanity's obliteration without even bothering to open any form of peaceful negotiations first.

The Sangheili have just moved on. Instead of hunting human vermin, they've shifted their focus to brutes. All the same.

And there are probably pockets of San'Shyuum elsewhere to hunt down.

What is the point in an alliance?

If both sides really needed and wanted it then I guess it could be possible, but I do not see a need nor a want.

According to Halo Evolutions their population has dwindled with the extinguishing of The Covenant Loyalists. They are said to have "disappeared".

"disappeared" does not necessarily mean "extinct."

  • 02.01.2011 5:54 PM PDT

yes that means extinct

Dictionary.com: disappear- to vanish from sight They could have simply moved to an area where the Sangheili are unaware of their position and will hunt them down till they are extinct.

The Bestiarium estimated that their total population after the events of Halo 2 to be less than 1000.

Even if there are some survivors, they are hardly likely to "Build another Covenant" to take revenge on Humanity/Sangheili or any of that given the sentiment of the Prophet in Wages of Sin. Those that knew the real purpose of the war were turned sour towards it and regretted it. Those who did not know are not likely to do anything either. What would be the point? They have nothing to fight for.
