"And I will show you something different from either
Your shadow at morning striding behind you
Or your shadow at evening rising to meet you;
I will show you fear in a handful of dust."

You know you've hit a nerve when little kids make accounts just to troll you, personally. Thanks TXTCLA55, your insecurity makes me lol forever.

Definately. Even if I was never interested in the books.

Our main problem, right there.

I really enjoyed the books. The ones I read, anyway. Haven't gotten around to Onyx or the newest one yet.
BUT.
The story of reach as put forth by Nylund would not have translated well to a continuous storyline with a single protagonist. So they changed minor things, in order to make the game story flow better. And I think they did a really good job. Rather than just hearing 'yeah, this green guy got off-planet a week ago', Noble Six makes damn sure the green guy gets airborne.

TL;DR, it's okay that they don't mesh perfectly. They couldn't have, without sacrificing awesome.

If you can read this, that means I'm not a Shaolin monk...

yet.

There's a huge difference between following and contradiction, you illiterate, you.

Dark Neptune, a young amateur astronomer whose gaming life is no different from other teenagers of his age, though he controls it more strictly then others.

Yes, goddamnit. I hate people who bragged that they played Halo: CE when they never actually did. And the books as well.

Bungie fanboys are typically the usual "blind leading the blind" sort of people. I don't see any of these so-called fanboys giving non-biased reasons/facts to back their opinions up, nor do they even bother elaborate what they just said. These idiots are the very same idiots destroying the Halo universe, goddamnit.

That's one way to portrait it.

The same exact things can easily be said about those criticizing Reach, both sides come from a certain bias, and some translate their bias into their arguments more than others, and I'm talking about both sides of the debate.
Yes, I am a fan of Bungie, but that's not why I defend Reach, I defend Reach because people blow things way too out of proportion when criticizing it. I care more about the story of Halo than who makes Halo, and I realize that Halo: Reach has problems, some plot and some gameplay, that however does mean it's a horrible game that completely destroyed the canon.
