No matter how hard I try I can never control my dreams. Whenever I'm in a lucid dream I start in my bed, but something weird happens to my that makes me realize it's a dream, but I can never stop myself. Ex. My hands felt like they were spinning and I tried to stop them but they wouldn't. Anyone know why I can't control my dreams?

you need practice that is all, and yes i do know more techniques im bout to post them

It's a'me, Sesto

Another way is to look at your hands. The thing that triggers most of mine are when I look at my hands.

I'm a very articulate person. In engrish.

It's never easy, is it?

Every time I'm in a dream, I'm dizzy and can't walk straight like I'm really drunk. D:

Just start playing out your desired dream in your head when you are trying to fall asleep. When you do, your mind will pick off where you left off

Coup rules!

When you say negative effect, do you mean like losing you grasp on reality?

Cpt. Cutter, for those who don't get the referance.

I've actually tried this before, and it produced VERY unfavorable results. I ended up in a sort of scripted nightmare, where I knew I was in a dream, but the only thing I could focus on was finding a way to wake up. I haven't tried it since, does anyone know anything about that happening?

One of my ideas.

Feline Doom : Steampunk mecha anime with kitties.

I lucid dreamed to an extent. It ended in a tentacle infested Theatre. And I sat closest to the stage and near the end to the left side. And had 2 EXs from a different area of where I live. And started out odd. I remember it and, for some reason, my brain keeps remembering it but just faster and without sound.

Lucid dreaming is awesome. My hand look weird in my dreams so I know when I am dreaming.

  • 03.26.2011 9:43 PM PDT

i have actually had lucid dreams before on my own, quite often in fact. I find them very cool but kinda creepy, i mean it litterly is like a different universe and have got them confused with reality once actually.
however, when I'm in my dreams i usually forget that i can control them, i mostly just experience them.
any thoughts on how i can remember that i have control?

Find your hands.

If you can do that, then try to remember how you got where you are standing/sitting/laying.

If you can do both of those, then you acknowledge that you are in a dream.

Then you can control everything.

I've only sleep-walked once.

I went to sleep on my bed, and woke up at my friends house under his couch.

My friend lives almost 4 blocks away.

How exactly do you "control" the dream? Can you make things/people appear? I know you can plan scenarios, and ive managed to do that two or three times, but Ive never felt I controlled the entire dream, like things I didnt want happening happened. Ive yet to realize im in a dream while dreaming :(

I had my first one a few nights ago. It was awesome.

what happened in it, i had one last night where i was flying and a girl i like turned up and we flew to the stars where we had a nice time on the moons of jupiter.

that's pretty much the dream I would want to have.

I have sleep Paralysis! I've had it my whole life. It's kinda annoying, but it ends eventually. I always try to push to move really hard and that ussually wakes my brain up.
