"What's up baby, how are you doin'? I hate the sound of my own voice and I been invited here to distract my self from the fact that I wrote all of this garbage."

Can I control the dream within my dream?

I have a question. Is there a chance that I will get obsessed with my dreams, and waste my real life? For instance, if I want to go for a girl but just think 'Eh I can just dream about her tonight'. Could that happen?
Or will it make me realize I want to do all this in real life and LIVE!

I've been Lucid Dreaming since age four. There amazing, and recently I've been making my own forge world, driving around in a ghost, and ending up playing chess with Master Chief, Link and Naruto :D

убивать или быть убитыми

I tried to do some of these methods last night after I read this, and I had a dream, I don't normally dream, so I thought it was a start, but I didn't realize I was in a dream. It was abought some woman who was stalking me, and I was talking to her on the phone and she was being a creeper, and I looked outside my window and saw her and she jumped on my balcony so I smacked her across the face with my lamp, threw her off my balcony and then threw my cat on her, then my mom woke me up and I was like,....wtf?

Friends before pixels.

Last night I had my first lucid dream.

It didn't happen immediately, but it happened eventually.

So, the dream started out as me and my friends waiting for the bus after school (we have to wait for an hour everyday, so we can pretty much do whatever we want). But, it wasn't my school. Everything was turned 90 degrees and the geometry looked a lot more pleasing to me in the way in my dream than in real life. It was overcast, and everything was a strange shade of green, like the shade of green when you go outside of a building in Left For Dead 2. Anyways, I didn't really notice it, and I just went along having a dream. Crazy stuff happened, normal stuff happened, and we had a crack-head bus driver who couldn't drive worth crap.

When the bus got there, I realized everything was strange. I thought about what was happening. I looked at my hands and then it registered. I'm in a dream!

I then decided to see if I could control it. I changed the tint of the world back to the normal color, and then turned time back an hour. I fixed our driver.

When everything was normal, I decided I would try making something. First I tried to make a person.....That didn't go too well. I figured out that I could remove things, so I got rid of my failed persona attempt and decided to age all of the people by 2 years.

That would make me legally able to drive.

Now, I create a nice Ferrari and pick up the girl I like. Here is when I learned I could manipulate people. I manipulated her...and....well one thing came after another.

I decided to wipe her (well my thoughts of her) memory so she won't remember. I turned back time again.

Now, I create a helicopter. I fly around and stuff and I soon get bored.

I land, and turn back time.

I decide that I should be able to fly, so then I start flying around.

That got boring pretty fast, and I turned back time.

Now, I decided I would create a fight and be able to hurt or even kill the people who I can't stand.

I fight multiple people, and then get bored.

I reset and let time go by normally.

Then I woke up.

I am a monument to all your sins

I used to be able to lucid dream as a young child. It was by accident, but I used reality checks that allowed me to control my dreams. I can't do it anymore though, but I think ill try your methodes

When in doubt, throw bombs at it.

I've had many dreams where I know for a fact I am dreaming, but it is the scariest thing possible because -blam!- up -blam!- is in my mind, I don't like to dream.

I have a question for all you lucid dreamers, is the time in your dream proportional to the time in real life? Or could you stay sleeping for what feels to be an eternity only to wake up eight hours later?

I was in one that was three years long...It was a really long war...I even grew a beard after a while, and then I woke up. 12 hours later. When, in reality, I felt like I was three years older.

If I see lasagna, I eat it.

Ever since I started recording my dreams, I've been able to control them more and more and they're becoming more and more detailed :)

NO. Dude, are you kidding? Cause thats reallly crazy. like, in the dream it actually felt like youd been in it 3 years?

Yup. I'ts the downside to Lucid Dreams. For some reason, although I knew I was dreaming, I couldn't wake myself up. So I went with it. I fell in love. Made friends. All to find out it was in my head. I'm not joking.

The main trouble I am having with lucid dreaming is becoming aware. Usually when I become aware, I wake up. Does anybody have any tips to help prevent this?

I'm having the same problem. I think i dreamt last night. but as soon as the dream started i woke up because i realised it was a dream. I surprised myself because i didn't do a test i just realised i was dreaming.
