Question: If I fold up a piece of paper and put it in my pocket and I write "dream test" on it and every hour I look at it and look away will that help me realize I'm dreaming within my dream?

Yes if you look back afterwards to check whether its a dream much like relity checks, but it might be dodgy because it could be asily forgotten.

Would you like the treatment?

The one thing I hate is the people that boast they can already do it without understanding what it is. I see this a lot here.

Some people can, because they have already done these steps and taught themselves to do so. Others have not thought of it yet, and just started now.
It's not bragging, merely saying they got a headstart...like me, I guess.

You'd be suprised how many people are afraid of dying in dreams for fear of actually dying. Its actually kinda funny.

If im just starting lucid dreaming, whats more important?
Dream recall or reality checks?

Dream recall. If you don't know what your dreams are like, you won't check to see if they're real.

Or 6.

If you die in a dream, you immediately wake up.

i've had about 3. in the first 2 i was harry potter (i was 8!) then my last one was a couple months ago, I was completely psychic, and i blew up random people from my school. (I was depressed that day)main point, it felt AMAZING!

Also, the link to the binural beats, (which i've done before, accidentally got me high =D)doesn't work, it takes me to some weird website for ringtones of 10 bucks.

Uh...

So, like, I've had these two dreams and they're on MSN somewhere.
The thing I have most is that I'm having increasingly lengthy dreams (going up for a few minutes, I'd say, but I don't have an accurate way of judging time so it could be a few minutes, hours, or even only seconds). Problem is I can't -blam!- control my character. It's like, I'm in him. It's all in first person and when I wake up I can remember with clarity my dreams. I just can't control the guy.

yeah so explain too me why i feel physic pain when i'm dreaming somethings mr smart man

Pain is a mental impulse, not physical. It's all in your head, therefore you feel it in your dreams.

Question, I take melatonin for medical reasons every night. Will it effect my chances of lucid dreaming?

I think i've had lucid dreams before. But I was unaware of it, so I didn't try to do anything. When I wake up from them, I can tell I feel different than after a normal dream. Of course, most of the time I completely forget about the fact that lucid dreams exist.

I like pie.

My uncle was able to do this when he was a kid, he said he hasn't been able to ever since He was 14. I didn't know that I have had these before and every time I did I had sleep paralysis.

And it's your connection that's slower than turtle sex.

In........................................................Out .

Bah, this topic tends to irritate and fascinate the hell out of me when I cross paths with it, I really wish I could get it to work, but it usually ends up with my body trolling me with fake lucid dreams and entirely losing dream recall.

Oddly, I start to have better recall once I stop writing my dreams down.
