Yar *****es

but umm on this topic i NEVER have dreams i have verrrry few

  • 07.11.2011 11:04 AM PDT

Don't tell them to go to hell, send them yourself.

I've actually been doing that for a roughly over a year now.
These days I can't even have a dream without.. Controlling it?
It's fun, but gets rather boring, as I would rather have random dreams for once..

Would you like the treatment?

I had a messed up one the other night that just made me feel like -blam!- the whole day

I was wondering if this affects how you sleep and how you think, because I don't want to go crazy...

Also, when I know I'm sleeping, I have a high chance of waking up...and I don't want to be waking up when I'm sleeping.

You'll be fine, you won't go crazy. And you will learn not to wake up after a few times of being lucid.

Depends upon person, everyone has different learning speeds. On average takes about a week to get the first lucid dream.

What about the technique image that iggyhopper posted above? Will that increase chances/ help with a first try?

That's called a WILD. Best with a WBTB but instead of standing still I use the rolling technique. Works like a charm.

Check out these two guides: http://www.dreamviews.com/f79/mzzkcs-comprehensive-wild-guide -105484/

http://www.dreamviews.com/f79/yoshis-wild-technique-82529/

and read this:http://www.dreamviews.com/f79/why-you-fail-wilds-96892/

What I did was combined the first two guides. And please do not expect to get it first try. I mean you want to have that kind of confidence but like everything in life it comes with practice.

First attempt was not a success, though I do have a vivid recall of a dream. Am going to try again tonight using those guides, thanks for those, Chief.

No problem ;)

The cool part is that even if you don't have a lucid dream, you still have a really good chance to have a regular dream. So if you reality check in that dream then you become lucid ;)

Chief, are there any extra techniques, small things that might help that aren't in the guides? From personal experience, say?

I got in to this lucid dream business last year. I've had some really messed up ones lol. MY mind likes to wonder a lot apparently. One dream i had the joker was helping me dodge sport equipment being flung at me from ovens. Don't ask my mind is really messed up.

Everything you need comes from personal experiences and guides. Every person is different. That's why you just need experience.

I'll tell you my tips anyways:
1. Pretend you are a master at lucid dreaming. I mean make yourself believe. Your subconscious believes it and you have a much higher chance of having a LD.

2. Find the butter zone of how long you should sleep until you do a wake back to bed and for how long you stay up. I sleep for 5 hours and 20 minutes and stay up for 10 seconds. If I stay up anymore than I'm to awake to do a WILD.

3. Don't use binural beats as an anchor. They are placebos. I use breathes. I take deeper breathes than normal and count to ten each breath. Once I hit 10, I go back to 1 to keep my focus there.

4. WILD in your natural sleeping position. I use the rollover technique. I start on my back and then go to my side and keep rotating from left side to right side.

5. Don't be afraid of sleep paralys. It doesn't hurt at all. If anything, it is cool. Don't expect it to come either. Just focus on your anchor.

Wilding is all mental. Once you get your head there then they will come. Check out this tip thread: http://www.dreamviews.com/f12/silverbullets-newly-revised-key -lucid-dreaming-117015/

This thread I linked has the best tips to succeed. Not all the tips are directly applied to WILD though.

I just went lucid early this morning immediately before i woke up. I guess as my brain was coming back into consciousness, I became aware I was dreaming.

It wasn't anything substantial, I was in a building with a lot of stories, and had to go up a few flights for some reason, i was scared to take the elevator, so i chose the stairwell, and went up a few floors, opened the door and was in a library. It was some sort of childrens library, or I was in the children section. Asked a lady at the front desk where a bathroom was, she pointed me there, i went up to the bathroom door, a sign on the door said "Ages 1-20" (it was a unisex bathroom, and i didn't really think anything about the age sign for some reason), went in, started to pee and the toilet water started changing different colors of the rainbow as my pee hit it. Even as weird as all this sounds, I still continued like nothing was unusual. After i was done, i went to wash my hands, looked up in the mirror and noticed i was wearing the same shirt i had just worn the day before (In real life), at that point, I woke up.

But sounds interesting. Can you sum it up faster?
