Guide to immortality : Sleep with Life

I had a pretty big time thread once.

Here's me bragging about it.

I'd rather just sleep through the night.

When I broke my ankle, I needed crutches to walk. I called them "Armor" and "Lock"

I spent weeks trying to have lucid dreams, and finally, a week ago I had one. I was on a roadtrip with my cousin, so in the car later that day I told her about it and what lucid dreams were and how to have them, and we wondered how a person in your dream would react if you asked if they were dreaming. It was the first time she had ever heard of them, and had never before had a lucid dream. Shortly afterwards, she took a nap. (something I can't do during the daytime) When she woke up she said "they said no" "what?" "I had one of those lucid dream things you were talking about, so I asked someone in the dream if I was dreaming. they said no." I was amazed. How could someone who had never even heard of a lucid dream have their first one just from being told about them and falling asleep? I didn't know wether to be proud or jealous.

Just last night I had another lucid dream, and I had much more freedom and control than my last one. Not control like I was god, but I could do some extraordinary things with no consequences. Things like jumping great heights and distances and breaking down walls because I'm too lazy to use the door. (yet I still couldn't fly. I'd just jump and slowly glide back down) I felt myself waking up, and spun around with my arms in the air, and viola. the dream was prolonged. I did this twice, and the only reason I didn't do it a third time was because I could feel my real body needing to pee, so I woke up and went to the bathroom.

I had both my dreams (or at least woke up from them) in the morning, before 8am. My cousin had hers mid-day. (don't remember the time)

When I broke my ankle, I needed crutches to walk. I called them "Armor" and "Lock"

It took me months to actually have lucid dreams, (long before I found this thread) but before I actually had a lucid dream, many different, almost lucid dreams occured. and I think I should tell what has happened in my first (and as of now only) two lucid dreams.

(here comes the wall)

1st occurence. weeks after starting lucid dreaming.: I was some town filled with goblins. They looked and acted the exactly the same way they would in Oblivion. I realized I was dreaming, and started thinking of all the amazing things I could do. This got me overly excited, and I woke up. I may have had a false awakening, because after I woke up, the sun wasn't up yet, and I thought I remembered waking up to sunlight before.

2nd occurence: I had a lucid dream, but it was in third person and I had absolutley no idea what was going on. It didn't make any sense to me, and I couldn't even remember it well right when I woke up.

3rd occurence: another 3rd person fuzzy memory lucid dream, only I was someone else. Don't know who. I was standing over a huge lake, and next thing I know I (or he) was in a small boat controlling the water. can't remember how.

4th: I was in Halo, on the mountain in Forge World. There was a warthog with a sniper rifle on the back, but it looked more like a giant camera about half as big as the mountain. I looked around and actually asked myself if I was dreaming. I came to the conclusion that I was not, despite the fact that I was clearly in Halo, not my everyday life. Though at the time I played so much Halo that it practiacally was my everyday life.

first lucid dream: I was on a small beach with rock walls on either side (for some reason rock walls surrounding the dream area is common) and there was a dining table in the center of the small beach. In the distance, I saw mountains like something from minecraft. I did a reality check and realized I had seven fingers (an extra pinkie) and I would look away and see that I had 6. I attempted flight, but I just slowly glided back to the ground. I asked my grandmom, (who was sitting at the table) how many fingers she had, and there was a gap between her fingers and her palm. "six" she replied "that's normal right?" "no it's not grandmom. It's not normal at all" I wake up

2nd lucid dream (night before last)(2 weeks after 1st lucid dream): I was in a store of some kind, kind of like a wal mart. I realized I was dreaming, and started messing around. that got boring, so I decided to leave. I found the exit, but instead I just broke down the wall and walked out that way. There was this huge space from the store and it's parking lot, (which had red carpet by the way) to some wood building in the distance. I decided to go there. I couldn't fly for some reason, so I jumped there. It was awesome, being able to jump 300 feet in two jumps. I walked into the building, and my old art teacher was taking care of pigs from angry birds. Then she told me that the study of pigs was called peeology. lol I left there, and I could feel myself waking up in real life, so I spun around in circles. Then I began to lose my lucidity and it was all 3rd person, and it was like some crappy movie. something about micheal jackson and homework. Then well, let's just say some things happened between me and a girl I know. (I'm not attracted ot her at all though, so why I was dreaming that made no sense.)

and there you go. there's my wall of dreams. Made in China

My name: rufemee comes from the Elite Heritic leader: Sesa Refumee
But I spelt the name wrong

I remember having a similar expierience quite recently.

Take in mind that I watch too much My name is Earl

I don't remember all of the dream, but I remember that I could make decisions and such:

Basically I was in this wierd hotel place that was decorated quite formally. I was in the courtyard and the caracter:Crabman was lying down on a sun bed in his usual outfit. Me and the main character:Earl were trying to get some information from Crabmans Ex: A girl who was also in the courtyard, but she isn't from the actual programme. I couldn't remember what information we were looking for. I only remember that she seemed unwilling to give any information, she didn't resist forcefully, she hid it in a playful manner. Then Crabman decided to leave and Earl asked me whether or not we should go with him. I remember that I had to make a descision and that I decided to persue the girl who had decided to run off.

I got to decide which rooms that me and Earl should have serached through first. And I remember that I began to feel real fear at the sight of the long stretching corridors, that echoed with the sound of the girls laughter.
I decided to tell Earl that we should head back. We both ran.

I woke up briefly, and then went back to sleep only for the dream to be very similar: Though some things had changed.

I was back in one of the hotel rooms that we had searched. And Earl was gone. The loneliness had me scared and I ran back to the courtyard. When I was there the girl from the previous dream ran in front of me, across the courtyard. She was laughing as she ran. I could have chosen to go anywhere, I could control my own legs much like before. But I decided to pursue. I caught up with her as she entered a room, I realised that she was cornered and I therefore ran back to the door and closed it to prevent her escape.

Then I woke up. I made multiple descisions throughout the dream. It was pretty awsome.

I also had another dream where I was in a city that appeared to be made of buildings and stuctures that were all taken from cities that I have seen in real life. Towards te end of the dream I thought:Tis is weird, am I dreaming? In order to test it I rubbed my leg against a nearby tree to see if I felt pain:I did not. Then I wandred around for a few minutes thinking:Wow, I'm dreaming, this is pretty cool. After a few minutes of attempting to convince the dream world version of my friends that we were in fact in a dream, I woke up.

I've had one lucid dream before and it was a nightmare when I was around 6, it was a recurring nightmare that only stopped after I had this dream.

Basically in the dream I got chased through loads of corridors by this big shadow and then reached a door at the end which I ran into and saw the shadow coming for me at the other side of the door. Usually I then woke up scared but in the lucid dream I realised it was a dream and did something like think of a gun and it appeared in my hands and then the shadow went away and I never had that dream again =D

I think I've had minor lucid dreams again but never when I've fully realised I'm in a dream and then thought of things and they appear in my arms =(

congratulations, im not being sarcastic, but only a majorly small minority can do it without trying, once you train yourself to have lucid dreams they will be spontaneous, its like learning a new language in time it will come by itself

I have always been able to control my dreams, even since i was very young...is this uncommon? i thought loads of people could do this.

Methinks ima try right now.

~Only reply to posts with a question being asked, thats the only way I won't get banned~

I had a dream like this once. I tried to do a kamehameha but nothing happened and everyone laughed at me. Then I pointed at a plane to show someone (like "hey look") and a beam shot out of my finger and it blew up.

  • 08.19.2011 7:23 PM PDT

AXIOS you idiot.

Just remember that no matter how terrible you feel, or how much you want to let go, there are people who care about you and love you.

Wait, can I wake up in the morning, think of something, and try to fall back asleep, repeating in my head "I want to lucid dream"?

Also, while I think, I get these quick, faint flashy images. Last night, before I fell asleep, I was thinking of Transformers: WFC.

I could see flashes of all the characters, but only for a second. But back to my question....

  • 08.20.2011 4:52 AM PDT

Discord is my bro.

Thanks OP! I've been practicing Lucid Dreaming for a week or so, keeping a "dream journal" and jotting down the rough basis of dreams I've had over the week. (Looking back, some of them are pretty -blam!- up... -_-)

Anyway, I finally "succeded" last night, I won't go into details over it but it was perhaps the best dream I've had in a long time!

And to anyone who cannot lucid dream, don't give up! Seriously it may take a while but it WILL happen. Have faith! :)
