Damn, that's a cold-ass honky.

"He who has the money has the authority; and respect to the man with the Uzi."

I am currently on my tenth day of trying this. I keep a dream log and everything. Is it normal that on 2 nights I couldn't remember a single dream from that night?

Perfectly normal.

Eminem's plights are easier to relate to, and reach out to you much better. And I like his rapping style the best.

EDIT: WHOA, what the hell? I was literally just in another thread! How did I... wha... WTF?????

I was wondering what Eminem had to do with lucid dreams

When I broke my ankle, I needed crutches to walk. I called them "Armor" and "Lock"

I had my last lucid dream 3 weeks ago, and I had one a week before that. Ever since school started 2 weeks ago, I have been unable to remember my dreams. I was at a point where I had multiple dreams almost every night, but now I can only remember 1-10% of them now. Then most of it fades away and I am stuck with nothing more than a screenshot in my head from that dream. I will wake up and recall that I did dream, but I can't remember it at all. I have even woken up in the middle of a dream, and then want to right it down in my dream journal, but it all fades before I can get the notebook open. I have also woken up in the mornings and asking myself what I dreamt, but I can't remember anything. I am aware that I dreamt, but I can't recall any of the details at all. I just know that I dreamt the night before. Is the stress of school causing this?

  • 08.31.2011 6:26 PM PDT

Im not a professional or any thing but stress could be making it so you can't remember your dreams. I say this becuase when you sleep your brain is relaxing and sorting out the information that you have gathered through the day. So if your brain is stressed( such as have to do school work) it may make it harder to remember and have lucid dreams.

Roses are red, violets are blue,
I was born pretty,
So what the **** happened to you?

I keep having the same semi-lucid dream. It's strange. I'll be laying in my bed perfectly still, and I'll talk in conscious mind with my eyes closed. While I don't see anything (yet), I hear my thoughts and am aware that I am dreaming. Once I realize this though, my body springs to action and wakes me up. Sad Face. Any tips?

as you fall asleep dont move but also make sure you dont forget your image keep focused on it as hard as possible and your body will fall asleep not your mind, you will notice that this area suddenly springs into being infront of you if it worked and you are now dreaming and aware you are instantly,
this is the stringest lucid dream posible but also the hardest.

I've never tried doing lucid dreaming on purpose. But this is easily done on mornings when u wake up and wanna fall back to sleep. Just remember where ur dream last were and fall asleep and you can continue your dream :D If this is one of the hardest then i am a boss :D

I think I had one.

I was in an office building, and I realized. This is a dream. But I didn't know what to do. I was just standing there staring out the window. Eventually I saw someone's head, and then cars appeared. Too late, I already realized.

However I didn't know what to do. I remember the pinch thing and the fingers through hand thing LATER.

Unfortunately there is nothing amusing or witty here.

Last night I had a dream that I stuck some guy in Halo Reach.

He promptly Armor Locked. Needless to say, I rage quit and started dreaming about Call of Duty.

I had a dream once that I was breathing underwater. It was cool until I found trash floating in my face

Strangely it seems dreams intrigue most of the community.

Maybe I will never be
All the things that I wanna be
But now is not the time to cry
Now's the time to find out why
I think you're the same as me
We see things they'll never see
You and I are gonna live forever

I will end crapping myself if I do this because most of my dreams are nightmares.

Before you post hateful comments saying it isnt possible it is.
IT IS POSSIBLE TO CONTROL YOUR DREAMS
This is a phenomena called lucid dreaming and i have recently in the past week or so discovered this and had multiple experiences.
A lucid dream is where you realise in your dream that you are dreaming and this can lead to you being able to do anything, your wildest fantasies including ,ahem ahem,

If you wish to experience one or multiple of these dreams you will need dedication and want to perform a dream, i will list in short form beneath what is needed to be done to achieve LUCIDITY

1. HOW YOU SEE THE WORLD
the first step is physcological and very important. you need to believe you can perform these dreams and you need to believe that the world around you could be a dream or not. you need to start to think of yourself as having a real body and a dream body that is a reflection of you ( i imagine a coin on one side is the world as it is and the other my dreamscape)

2. DREAM RECALL
you will need to improve your dream recall as if you have a dream thats lucid but forget it whats the point.
to do this you will need to create a dream diary or log, this will be somewhere for you to record your dreams near your bed immediately after waking.
to successfully create this diary you will need to when you wake have the first thought you have to be 'what did i dream' this will lead you into the phase or mind where you remember what you did, you will remember backwards. once you have successfully remembered keypoints jot them in your diary before you forget.
looking back apon ur diary at a later stage will enable you to remeber dreams and bring them back which in turn allowsx you to remember dreams better.

.Example (exert from my diary)- i was running, there was a red wall, as i went to climb it the COD icon for climbing appeared, i am in a dream i thought, the world span around,( i now wake up)
3. REALITY CHECKS
this is the largest step towards recieveing your fist lucid dream.
Every hour you will need to perform two of these or alternatively whenever things seem odd, (or even better do both), until you get into a habit of doing these, this is important as these cause you to realise you are dreaming and cause your conscience to kick in while your body is sleeping.

CHECK 1- try and push your fingers through ur hand in a dream they should go strait through

CHECK 2- if you wear a watch look at it turn away for a few seconds then look again as in a dream the time will of completely changed or gone fuzzy.

CHECK 3-hold your nose and close your mouth then try to breathe, in a dream you can even if u block off airways (i should know this caused my first lucid dream)

CHECK 4- if you have text infornt of you look at it then look back much like the watch or is the ltters fuzzy or unreadable in a dream they often are.

4. WAKE UP GO BACK TO BED
This is a techinque i used to get my memory better for recalling.
When you sleep you go into cycles of different strengths. every 90mins you enter one where you are in REM(rapid eye movement) this is the stage where you have lucid dreams.
set an alarm, not radio, to wake you up 4 1/2 hours after you sleep this will be ur strongest rem cycle. remeber your dream and fill ur diary. wait an hour (read or do anything before returning to sleep) when falling asleep picture in your head your last dream and you might feel like you are getting closer to it, you may of now enterd a lucid dream.

5. PLANT IT INTO YOUR MIND
It has been proven the more you think about wanting lucid dreams the more your subconscience( the part of your brain whre you dream)will realise it should create them. this will help you get a lucid dream as if you want one you can get one. warning if you want it too much you may have a nergative effect, play it cool

6. REPETITION

before you fall asleep think to yourself, i will remember my dreams, or i will have a lucid dream(once you can remember them. think these when you are dozing off, just repeat them until you physically fall asleep. (note. if u are experienced at how to get lucid dreams you can choose what its like by saying, i will dream about-what you want-)

ONCE YOU HAVE A LUCID DREAM

Once you realise you are dreaming then be careful not to get too excited as this will cause you to wake up.

In a lucid dream play it cool you can chear after you record it in ur diary upon waking.

If you feel the dream fading then spin around as fast as possible on the spot and shout ,i want more clarity, this trigers your subconscience into revigerating ur dream, repeat this when you might wake

you are the limit you can do many things in ur dream, perform magic, seduce ur love or play halo without armour lock ;) you just got to believe you can do it, the moment you doubt you can do it is the moment your cant and this often leads to awaking

this is the way i got to lucid dream i hope it works for you if you want more detail please research more although i have placed the best techniques i have found

WHEN YOU DO GET A LUCID DREAM DONT BE DISGRUNTLED WHEN YOU WAKE UP, YOU HAVE TO EVENTUALLY, LONGER DREAMS COME WITH TIME AND PRACTICE REMEMBER THERES ALWAYS NEXT NIGHT.

NOTES
1. It takes various lenghts of time to get into a few dreams it took me a couple of weeks it can take months, don't give up keep trying LICUD DREAMS ARE WORTH IT

2.If you wake up you might not be able to move muscles for a bit, this is sleep paralysis, where you body stops you moving your real body by locking itself like a safe, wait or fall back to sleep and you will come to normal.

3. believe in yourself, the only barrier is YOU

4. There is no harm from lucid dreams, but if you are having a stressed life you will have less lucid dreams,

5. if your worried about a presentation or something, practicwe i in your dreamscape.

6. DO NOT MOVE WHEN YOU AWAKE AS YOU WILL STIMULATE THE BRAIN CAUSING YOU TO FORGET TOUR DREAM.

7.follow these steps and you should in time enjoy a wonderful world.

8. dieing in lucid dreams dont kill u in real life, its not real just a world created by ur conscious to sort out random bits of information

Please record your thoughts or amazing dreams you've had
this is truly amazing and should be shared among everyone

p.s tell people you knwo about your dreams this will hit home telling your brain you are dtermined to have these lucid dreams

p.p.s sleep paralysis is a very rare and uncommon thing if it happens just swallow as this will cause your brain to restart its motor neurones and this will unlock your muscles

p.p.p.s-yes inception did make a movie on this but i have been lucid since way before so have millions of people, i decided it would be ncie to help others have these awesome dreams

TLDR: folow the bullet points if you want to be aware you are dreaming and to fullfill your fatasies. dont give up. and when you do get lucid dreams continue these techinques for more
I had a lucid dream then I was under Leonardo Dicaprio XD

I don't have a signature so don't look.

I've had one awhile ago and surprisingly I still remember part of it.

nice copy paste.

i honestly, swear to god , did not copy and paste it is all my own work, i merely found sources of information and then after using it to have licud dreams put it into my own words for you to read, i believe my ocasional typos will prove me right as copy and paste of internet contains next to no typo's

It is a copy paste. This was posted in a huge Lucid dreaming thread on /b/ near to a month ago and was even in the OP in the third thread.

Everyone can easily go back and delete a few letters here, change some words there. I mean the majority of us have even done it for homework in school and college.

Im glad you posted it here, but lying about it being your own work is unbelievable.

That is unless you and the perso who made the 'guide' originally have a lot in common and have managed to write almost the exact same words.

i have never in my entire life, swear to god, seen another thread about this anywhere i did not copy and paste, i posteed the techniques i use because i had a non lucid dream where people would come to appreciate this, therefore i made this out of my own words it took me half an hour , i wish there was a way to prove it
besides people often use the same techniques with variations this other dude must use the same techniques as me but this is completely my work
also not many people actually did homework at school on lucid dreams, i have asked many adults what a lucid dream is and they reply simply a dream, not many know about this

if u copied it or not, it doesnt really matter, thank you anyways
