Had a semi-lucid dream last night. I've been having dreams where I knew that I was dreaming, but didn't really have any control over what I was dreaming about.

Maybe I should finally take this step by step.

It seems like you are close enough to try and this and to start to have quick results also 900 posts in total for this thread.

If youve ever seen superhumans on the history channel there actually is a man who is a lucid dreamer. But he dreams the future. Also he has the ability to self consiencely wake himself up and write down what he dreampt.

If I realise that I'm dreaming I can consciously wake myself.

It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank god that such men lived. ----------- No Bastard ever won a war by dying for his country. He won it by making the other poor dumb bastard die for his country. (both by George S. Patton jr.)

Dippy!! Your friendly neighborhood panda needs help!!
What are you suppose to do when you wake up after the 4 1/2 hours? you say turn your alarm off. You also say you need to write it down. But it also says DO NOT MOVE! So which am I suppose to follow?

I believed it happened so much, for the first half of the day i wrote the next day's date on everything and i forgot to pack my science project because i thought I had already turned it in. Although taking the science test and passing did wake me up a bit :)

I've been trying for about two weeks now, and have not had one yet.
I've done the journal thing whenever I can recall my dreams and do reality checks every now and then. Should I do the wake up and go back to sleep thing or keep doing this?

Talking about Sweden is an ultrabannable offense.

Too bad being completely and utterly wrong isn't a bannable offense.

Ha! I don't sleep.

Actually, I don't. I kinda dream but I'm fully aware of my room and stuff. It's weird. And I don't have that 'blank period' where you can't remember anything. I could just lie down and stare at my clock all night.

When I broke my ankle, I needed crutches to walk. I called them "Armor" and "Lock"

Well sorry but i keep changing it to make it appealing and noticeable but its hard to fit in all the info in a title with a character limit so low.

Also to the guy who said he doesn't sleep you must do at some point or else you would of gone crazy. The most likely scenario is that you sleep but only a little so that you don't notice that you have fallen asleep.
And if it's as bad as you say you need to get it sorted out by a doctor as sleep deprivation kills.

Is it normal for my body to twitch every once in a while when I attempt a WILD? Could this involuntary movement wake my body up?

The soldiers, the lovers, the cowards, the brave
We're all on this world, we got what we gave

Hey, TwistedDippy, I have a little story and then a very important question.

For as long as I can remember, I have been dreaming. My first lucid dream was when I was about four, and I have had a countless number since then. I can remember my dreams...I'd say 70% of the time, and my life has gone like that for quite some time, until April of this year. This was the first time a friend and I actually spoke deeply, and we found out that she and I had sort of a...connection. We talked for hours each night over the phone (keep in mind, I'm a teenager and still go to school.)

The days and weeks and months went by, and we talked and talked and talked for once again, countless hours a day. Texting, phone, occasionally in person...it was wonderful. We got to know the deepest parts of each other, told those things we never would tell anyone else, and started to feel a deeper connection with each other.

That's when it happened. I had a dream. I still was dreaming at this point (in fact, I still am) but this dream was different. It was just me and this girl, sitting together, talking and just enjoying each other's presence. But...the feeling inside it...it was different than anything I've ever felt. When I woke up I wished it was real.

Naturally, I told the girl my dream. Her response was...tepid, as if she was hiding something. We managed to see each other later that night at a local football game, and she gave me her iphone. On the "NOTES" section a story was opened up. I didn't tell her all the details of the dream, only told the basic story, but the notes had it. It perfectly described my dream. It was actually her I was talking to in the dream all along. Since that fateful night in September, we've managed to combine dreams multiple times (for better and for worse). I found out she's an even better dreamer than me, and remembers her dreams each and every night.

So, I have only a question. Or, a few. What does this mean? How did this work, and why does this happen? Any information would be much obliged.

There is no scientific proof for ESP, so if you were thinking that you are probably wrong.

As a psychology student, I would say that because both of you seem so involved in your discussions, it is taking up a large portion of your subconcious. If both your subconciouses are made up of almost the exact same thing, then it is very likely you will be dreaming very similar dreams.

No, I don't think I'm psychic in any way, and what are the chances we keep having the same dreams, on the same nights, having the same conversations and events occurring? I do think it has to do with subconscious combinations of some sort, that's what dreams are, but it's very unlikely that coincidences like that keep happening.
