I make a living of selling my body, and I don't mean sex.

But I can't control myself in my dreams, I'm a 3rd person spectator.
This is how my dreams usually work. I can sorta do what I want but it's not from a FP perspective.

I just had my first lucid dream in years this morning thanks to these guidelines. I got a bit excited after realizing I was dreaming so I immediately woke up into sleep paralysis, but I'll probably get the hang of it after a while. It's good to see my diligence pay off.

What sparked the realisation? Also what would you like to eventually be doing when dreaming? After a while it gets to the point where you merely practice doing various real life things as its free time.

So I had my first lucid dream last night. It was very cool, but I think I need more practice. I was able to do what ever I wanted in the environment that I was in, but I was not able to change the environment itself. I also woke up a short time after I realized that I was dreaming. I think I got to excited about the possibilities. I am going to download the binaural beats and give them a try as well. A big thanks to the OP for opening my eyes to a brand new and exciting world.

Your welcome, what method do you find works best for you? I always find WILDS work the best for me.
I have had three short lucid dreams so far. I guess I would say they were DILDs. I have tried WILDs and have come close, but was not able to enter the dream. I went far enough to see hallucinations and hear a buzzing in my ear. I will keep trying. I also plan on experimenting with supplements.

I control my dreams easily.

I just fall asleep and dream up whatever I want.

I often envision myself in Sonic's world, for example.

Generalizations.
Helping idiots hate other idiots since people have existed.

I'll start dreaming. Eventually, I'll realize I'm dreaming. The moment I realize I'm dreaming, I wake up.

You're just getting over-excited most likely, before going to sleep try a little meditation or just relax and be peaceful-knowing that its not a big deal; that way you won't overexcite.

Grunts are kinda cute, y'know?

I've realized I was dreaming before, but I've never actually tried manipulating them. So, last night, I had a very nice sleep, and I began dreaming. I don't remember what it was about- something uninteresting, I'm sure- and I suddenly stopped in place, realizing it was a dream. I then remembered this exact topic, and I began thinking hard. I tried forming skyscrapers around me to begin, and just as I thought something was going to grow from the ground...

My mom came in and woke me up. So I didn't get to try it. The thing is though, my dreams are usually very abstract representations of whatever is happening. I don't have feeling. I'm not walking around, I'm just existing a state of consciousness, moving around, still bound to the ground. I can't check if my body is solid, because I generally don't have a physical body. I don't need one. I'm experiencing my dreams, not playing them like a game. So lucid dreaming is a bit harder for me to achieve. :/

Well, I play a lot of video games, so all of a sudden I saw an achievement pop at the bottom of my vision in the dream, although I wasn't playing a game. I looked at it, back up, then down again, and came to the conclusion that I was in a dream. I can't remember if it was because the letters were blurred/scrambled the second time I looked at it or if it was just because it was so out of place, but it was enough to make me realize I was dreaming.

As for what I'd like to do with lucid dreams in the future, I'm not sure yet. Just being able to escape reality for a while is good enough for me.

I'm intrigued.

How does this compare to Piracetam, Galantamine, Calea, etc. as far as effects on dreams?

AXIOS you idiot.

Just remember that no matter how terrible you feel, or how much you want to let go, there are people who care about you and love you.

I lose control, but I do dream/

My last dream was about people in a school surviving from a zombie attack. I couldn't do anything though :/

Usually, I take a while to go to sleep and my dreams go by too quickly and seem too realistic to realize I am dreaming. Wierd. My dreams are usually out of the ordinary, yet completely normal to my sub-consciousness (sp?).

  • 02.11.2012 8:18 AM PDT

Last night, I dreamed a lot and for a minute or so (dream time) I realized I was dreaming and it felt so real. Usually I have this white haze around everything when I dream and I don't realize it but it suddenly went away and it felt so real! I did the covering my airways test and I could breathe! Unfortunately after a minute (dream time) the haze came back and I was out of my lucid state, in another dream.
