Same here. It's been getting rather annoying. Not being to remember your dreams at all.
Just need to get into the swing of things

Have a notebook by your bed every morning, if you can't remember anything just write "can't remember any dreams" so you get used to writing things down every morning at least.

Seems worth trying. I guess you just have to keep on trying. Obviously it's worth it in the end.

Don't get too hopeful

I've been going at it for a few days myself with no luck just yet, this takes time. It has helped me locate mosquitoes in my room though.

Haha. At least it's good for one thing.

I've been using ADA since yesterday. It gave me what I was looking for. My first dream fragment. I can finally start practicing my dream recall.

I feel like I should post it, because the technique says to tell people which makes your brain do it more often I guess. It's not much, but it's a start.

I was in my cousin's home. My view shifted to an above view of the living room, in which everyone was gathered. I was then at my point of view, I was at the dinner table surrounded by shadowy figures. Then I heard a very loud intercom say something in an inaudible form of English. The dream then shifted to an immensely vast, disfigured wall. The dream then proceeded to end.

I still post whenever i get the chance/feel like it.

In regards to ADA if you want to give it a shot do it, every person has varying degrees of success, for instance someone who is horrific at wild's might instead be good at reality checks, even if it does involve running into walls to see if they can go through.
It was hilarious i managed to trick a friend into thinking he was dreaming and insisted he could run through a brick wall, he ran into it at full speed, was hilarious.

Subject: Learn to CONTROL YOUR DREAMS, step by step for lucid dreams

Haha, this is truly amazing.

I have tried for a week now, and finally, finally got one of these magnificent things to work.

I find that the constant reality checks can help, get into a habit of doing them and eventually you will do them in the dream.

My first dream was somewhat disappointing however.

I remember I was down the street from my house, which I first thought was strange because I barely leave the house, I walk forward and then suddenly feel heavier, and realise I am wearing a suit of armour, at this point I realised I was dreaming. I then thought to myself, that the first thing to do, was to meet a character from a fictional universe, so I close my eyes, and being the zelda fan I am I somewhat blame my subconscious, appear on a platform by the windfish, he says some part of his speech, namely, verily it be the nature of all dreams to end, now let us awaken together, and the water came, and I awoke sadly.

Still I am now trying for my second one.

Andy

After trying for about a few months now, I've always been able to realize I was in a dream, but I would usually wake up immediately. Last night I realized I was awake, and immediately started spinning, which somehow kept me in the dream state for longer. I woke up right after I stopped spinning, but quickly fell back asleep. Then, I entered a semi-lucid dream. I did not create the environment, but I recognized it as from another dream in my childhood. I was able to create a staircase and a door, and from there things got weird. I don't know if I did it on purpose, but I'm sure I did, since I've always wanted to have a nightmare that scared me. The door disappeared, but the doorway remained. Out from it crawled Slender Man (why I chose him, I don't know why, but it was probably the first thing that came to mind). He grabbed my leg and pulled me into the abyss, where I awoke. It was my first time actually controlling aspects of my dream, and it was awesome.

Only regret is I didn't play more of it.

If you haven't noticed by now, I'm sort of a jerk.

I'm definitely going to be trying this now. I totally forgot about this thread.

Why not copy and paste into word?

Funnily enough i did and its saved into word. Slight problem in the fact it always says innapropriate characters or something along those lines. "Contains characters that arent allowed".
If anyone had a way to solve this it'd be appreciated.

There is an add-on you can download for firefox that purges all extended characters. However, afterwards you would need to go through the text and check to make sure it still makes sense.

Plus, both firefox and chrome have built in spell checkers. However, for firefox you will need to download the dictionary for it to actually work. You can get this from the firefox addons site. A quick google search for firefox addons will take you straight to it.

Have you tried lucid dreaming yet? How's it going?

  • 08.17.2012 10:30 AM PDT

I smells me some corn bread

Sorry if this has already been asked but can you use dreams you remember from like a year ago? I have great memory so i can remember them vividly.

Once lucid you can do literally anything. So if you remember it vividly you could re-enact it or make it better. I don't think it would work for dream recall though as i'd recommend using newer dreams to improve memory.

I actually had one of these last night, but I probably wouldn't have realized I was dreaming if it wasn't for the fact somebody was wearing this ridiculous hat.

When I told them that this was a dream their eyes got kinda dead. Then I turned the hat into a sailor hat, and woke up.

Nice hat related dream. Good thing to notice, most people would just ignore it.

If I am not posting, then I am reading what you might have posted.

Well my dream trip was quite the fun...

What had happen was someone was following me, and everywhere that I went that person was there, so I eventually confronted that person, asked them why they were following me, and they told me that.. well they didn't say anything, words never came out.

I then realized that I was dreaming and dismissed this man, by shooting him to the moon. I got a cinematic side view of him flying towards it. I started flying around, looking at places, keeping my cool, then suddenly, my dream altered the world, I became a little confused, I had this fear, that I was going to fall, I started falling, and then woke... Well I thought I did, I was just in another dream, and my friend came in to my room, but I payed no attention to him, because my mirror on my wall wouldn't show my reflection, and when I touched it, you could see a scary burnt hand, I broke the mirror and then it changed to a person, then I was aware again, and turned my room to a building that I saw in a movie that I had watched, and started exploring it.

There were so many faces that were clear, it was almost like that I wasn't dreaming, I could hear people talking, music, traffic outside the window. I thought of weapons lots of swords, and I thought of zombies, then a massacre went on...

It was fun, until I went into sleep paralysis.

End of crap, that happened, but yeah, I am poo.
