Alright- lets say a Mark V Powered Exoskeleton was walking up in Spartan III Armor to a fire, its forty-feet long and burning some form of sticky-napalm like plasma. Could the Spartan dash through it and arrive on the otherside armor functioning and the Spartan himself alive?

I figure with the plasma-resistant outer coating he / she has a shot- but its an arguement with a friend of mine. Yet the shields are neigh.

Sidenotes: Contact with the entire general area thats on fire is 12-14 Seconds.

I figure that plasma burns at 15mil Degrees F, and fire fueled by something volatile burns at 3k Degrees F...

A Spartan III, in SPI armour?

Depends. If the sticky plasma lands on him, it'll burn right through the armour like a blow torch throw rice paper(I love you Nylund).

But if any of it dosent land on him, he should be able to pass through will only parts of the armor peeling like a bad sun burn.

It'd be stuck on the legs but my friend argue the fire would burn upwards and engulf him entirely.

If it was on his legs it would probably burn though his armour and burn them.
But it wouldnt engulf him entirely unless he was coverd in petrol of another flamable substance.

Maybe if it wasn't sticky, but if it is then it would have the full time to burn through the armor. The spartan probably wouldn't be killed though.

According to my friend it is actual Mark IV Powered Exoskeleton- which is better.

Where does it say that Spartan III's have Mjolnir IV suits?

They wear SPI, in the canon, I want proof.

Reach's Spartan IIIs wore Spartan II Armor I believe- but its not canon, and its a question.

EDIT: Infact- Spartan - B312 wore Mark V, which would be what he's wearing, not Mark IV now. @_@

I would argue that the Commando armour in that trailer is symbolism.

I don't see a guy who's the highest ranked Spartan ever promoted having equipped with non-MJOLNIR armor while being a team leader of his own team even as late as the year 2550.

Each to his own.

Birth of a Spartan trailer.

So you are saying that the armour (Carter's) is a Mjonir mark IV suit?

And since when was Birth of a Spartan canon?

S-IIIs were made weak because more S-IIs would be too expensive...then why did they gave em the same armor, which is extremly expensive. Would be much better to just train a little less S-IIs to add to the originals. S-IIIs wearing MJOLNIR purely makes no sense.
