I <3 Combat Evolved

Heres a question: Do you think our current day military technology would be more affective vs. covenant powers then the future was? Cause honestly, the future combat forces sucked...

Never say you're bored. Never say you're satisfied with the world. Never stop doubting or questioning things. Always wonder. Always think. But always take time to drop your guard, you don't have to be smart all the time.

not at all.... (sees entire covi fleet...... gets glassed)

Beware the smiley face! =D

2553 wins easily. MAC Guns, superior nuclear arsenals, space ships, much more effective body armour, Spartans, AI...and yet they still lose. So 2011 would get wiped by the Covenant in a day, not 30 years.

I am alpha, i am omega.

I am the last of the primes.

Dude the unsc (in the books) is -blam!- leathel. a frigate would wipe out half the us fleet unless they used nukes.

Have you seen my mind anywhere? I seem to have lost it...

I have seen you future

Looking at what the UNSC and Covenant could canonically do (remember, gameplay is non-canon), the UNSC was much better off than the current military is.

Their weapons are more powerful, and they are much better defended against anything in space. Current militaries would only be able to shoot nukes at the covenant ships, which they would be able to easily shoot down.

Canonically the Covenant weapons are absolutely devastating. The plasma can destroy anything, and a sword can cut through a tank. Current militaries would be unable to stand up to the Covenant, especially after they started glassing our only planet.

in some ways current military is better such as planes and guns, but the the MAC, star ships, and Spartans easily out way it

No, guns are actually just scaled down in lethality for gameplay purposes and the UNSC has I don't know how fast longswords that can carry several thousand missles of the size we carry today, they are like 1/5 of the size of a frigate.

I lold. We would get butt raped.

Remember, gameplay>Canon when it comes to the games. If things played out like it did in the books...

at the state in the games, idk with conventional weapons, but overall, yes. Now according to the novels, it will annihilate earth.

The UNSC air force would savage us. In addition to the staple Longsword and Shortsword (just imagine the electronics package of the modern day Raptor, ramped up by 500+ years), they use shielded Sabres and a ****ton of automated combat drones. Which would shred ours today, as they are 500+ years more advanced and guided by AI's remotely.

We would lose in a day, as well, since we have 1 world and not hundreds.

"If you treat people right, they will treat you right - ninety percent of the time."

"No soldier should be honored for doing what is expected."

Our standard infantry wouldn't be able to penetrate shields.

In memory of those fallen in the defense of Earth and her colonies.

March 3, 2553

Would get raped in some Michael Bay super special effects and non stop action without any decent plotline.
