Ive had HaloPC for about 6 months now, and I love it. the graphics, the sound, and most importantly the gameplay. I played online also, but for some reason i couldnt install the 1.07 update. I was still playing with the 1.05 people, and Im not even sure how that was possible. I reinstalled the game, and everything worked fine. I was amazed by the amount of servers, and I couldnt wait to play.
That is about where the magic stopped. In the first game I joined into, there were people team killing, cursing like there was no tommorow, and of course corpse humping. I have nothing against flaunting a kill, but if you get it from shotgun camping you shouldnt really celebrate too much. If people online want to be in a hog that you are driving they wont just shoot 1 or 2 shots at it, no, theyll freaking throw a grenade at you! Hosts in games would kick you if you killed him or his "clan buddies" too much in a snipers game, and apparently nobody but me understands that if the enemy steals the flag he will probably be at the base he stole it from for a short while. I saw the flag guy walk right past 2 of my players, and our Hog driver didnt even go after him. WTF?
Im not saying Halopc online altogether sucks. Sometimes you get into noob-free games with good hosts and no lag that are extremely enjoyable. It just sorta reminds me of Halo 2 matchmaking at 6 o'clock, just a bunch of kids, spammers, and racists. I really wish that there was a feedback system implemented, because now I feel weary whenever I go online.
