For some reason, I have a feeling "Ritesh" isn't going to be very familiar with Halo PC...

Thanks, Zen. I just got off the phone with Ritesh after a really long talk. He didn't know anything about the official Bungie servers, and actually denied their existence until I pointed out the list on the Halo FAQ. He said he's a Halo 2 player (GT: Merlin) and hates friendly fire as much as I do. He also said there's talk about disabling FF in Halo 2 altogether... but no plans for Halo PC. I went to great lengths to describe the constant problems with Halo PC, official servers, and FF, to the point of ranting, and I think he gets the message now. He said what a lot of others say about Bungie; their hands are so full of Halo 2 that they literally don't have time to even look here at the forum or at email regarding Halo or any other past games. But then he entertained the idea of re-coding Halo PC to include a client-side toggle for FF. Not that I'd mind that at *all* but I pointed out that if someone with access to the servers would simply unset FF, that's a heck of a lot less work than modifying the Halo source code (or maybe not, I'll never know). He agreed with that point but ultimately couldn't make the changes himself and is just as much in the dark as to who can access BUNGIE-* servers as anyone else. On the bright side, he's going to forward our entire conversation back to MS support, as well as to Bungie for further consideration. I'm unhappy that we didn't resolve the FF issue through our conversation, but I'm half-happy to hear about Halo 2 and I hope that my case moves forward and doesn't get dropped or lost like so many others have experienced. Until then I don't what else I can personally do about TK'ers, but Iggwilv has an awesome server we can all use (well, 16 at a time) and I'm planning on leasing a server myself in the near future. Sorry for the length of this rant... I'm kinda hyped!

Word of advice: if you're gonna type a lot of stuff, at least break it up into several paragraphs. You have around 5 seconds to get my attention before I break off and stop reading.

I speak for many, many other people who have internet access.

Anyways, back on topic. You are right: there is very little we can do to stop the tkers on public servers. I found that out after I started my clan.

Ummm ok. That took me maybe 2 mins. to read. I don't think there was too much said. At least node got somewhere on this issue. I think we have all accepted the fact that more than likely nothing will be done on the issue. I think a thanks is in order, after all, this is aiming to make better gameplay for all of us.

Good work node. You know what's funny? When I saw ME King on some server (Team Slayer/CTF) , I told him he was an idiot and you know what he said? He was not the me king that TKs alot! Can you believe it, he thinks that me king is a popular name. What an idiot. Such idiocy. If I were you just ignore him and anyone else like him. plain and simple.

5 people you should avoid when playing halo.
(ME)=King: We all know why.
(ME)=MORON: Tks as much as his counterpart.
Swiftoak: Stkinking no-good scumbum Tker and also a cheater. Plain n00b.
[FG]Slayer: not a tker. But cheats alot.
{BLK}117: Cusses alot.

I got on a Bungie server last night and (ME)=KING was on there, so I decided to play around with him. First off he sucks ass. He can't hit crap. He came after me and and I danced around him for a minute before he grew bored and headed for someone else. So I blew his head off and waited around for him to respawn. He came after me again guns blazing and I betrayed him again. Jumped off and back on and continued to betray him before he could kill anybody. This went on for over an hour until he got off after I stickied his banshee on Infinity. I'm going to start to see if I can find him on the Bungie servers and give him a dose of his own medicine.

Nice work. I bet he doesn't like others playing his own game. Everybody that reads this should do the same. Maybe if he gets it enough he will just quit Halo all together. It seems that we are all better than him, so if we do the same I'm sure he will get frustrated and stop for the most part.

Yah, it would be pretty awesome to see a mass tk-ending revolution in which everyone on both teams saw that (ME)=KING was there, and everybody just totally destroyed him, not even worrying about the other team...that would be cool.

Don't drink to excess– You might shoot at tax-collectors... and miss

Computer: Power Mac G5 CPU Type: PowerPC G5 (2.2) Number Of CPUs: 2 CPU Speed: 1.8 GHz L2 Cache (per CPU): 512 KB Memory: 1.25 GB Bus Speed: 900 MHz

Most TKers hang around their team base and mess with people. If they are not very aggressive/skilled you can often leave base and go out looking for enemies to play against. If they get too annoying, switch teams and then you can kill the TKer.

I've never tried this, but... Announce to everyone that's why you are switching teams. Ask your former team mates not to kill you providing you only go after the TKer– don't kill him and snatch their flag. I bet after being pwnd a few times the TKer will leave– most have no skill. I've danced circles around TKers while they empty ammo clips and toss 'nades.

Then switch back to even the teams.
