I live in Southern California and want to go to E3, but the web site says you gotta have direct ties to the electronic entertainment industry. Any ideas on how I can get in? Any help on this would be great, thanks!

It's not too late if you meet the requirements, however, the ticket price for just the expo floor is $325 at this point.

To get in to E3 you must meet the following requirements:

1. Be at least 18 years of age
2a. Be a qualified member of the game development industry
OR
2b. Be a qualified member of the press.

You have to provide credentials to prove you meet the requirements. If you can't, they won't let you in.

no, you gotta have a entertainment article to prove your worth from the last 6 months... it looks like they run a tight ship over there... i used to be able to get press passes to magic mountain with my homemade "press pass" I did graphic design for a newpaper, but that was good enough for them.,,

I've got an great idea to get in at e3.
All we need to do is steal some nighmare armors, invent plasma shields, active camo and battle rifles. Then we just charge the gate in a scorpion tank and force ourselves in, jump out of the tank and start smacking all the guards from behind (we're invisible), and then we just stay hidden in places where we can see all that we wan't to see.

E3 is not a fun orgy of videogames, it's a serious expo. You can't get in unless you work for a gaming industry, or a major newspaper. Get over it.

The smaller British version of E3, ECTS, is free to enter. You still need to be an industry insider, so I'm going to try to convince one of my industry mates to let me tag along.
