Life's battles don't always go
To the stronger or faster man.
But sooner or later, the man who wins
Is the man who thinks he can.

Bungie may be past their Master Chief days, but hints of what their Activision partnership will bring can be gleaned from some recently trademarked names, which include;
New Monarchy,
Dead Orbit,
Osiris,
and Seven Seraphs.

So, share your thoughts on what this might mean, and speculate on whether or not this is connected to Aerospace (probably). IMO, the first two sound like level names, Osiris like an enemy type, and Seven Seraphs like some kind of group (like "The Covenant") or maybe a collection of final bosses.

I don't know if anyone's already posted this, and if so then I apologise.

Some people have postulated a setting in Egypt. Some of these trademarks push me towards this thought as well, especially Osiris, which happens to be the name of an ancient Egyptian god.

I'm thinking Orisis might be something to do with the enemy because it is the Egyptian god of the underworld which sounds hostile.

Don't "bump", you will get reported and your thread will be locked. Just remember that this is the Universe Forum and that it doesn't get as much traffic as the other forums. Be Patient!

I just realized how sick a futuristic Egyptian setting would be.

I'm certainly not opposed to it.

What I wonder about more is the format of the game. FPS? RPG?

Bungie always used mythological references in their games. Look at Orion, Mjolnir, Gungnir.

Osiris could very well be a weapon or armor and Seven Seraphs just as well a project's codename.

KIWIZ RULE THE WORLD!

Its just that nobody knows it yet...

I'm going with the idea that they are names for armor or weapons.

How many people report for bumping?

As for the names.

Seven Seraphs (Seraph is one of the level of angels) sounds like a group like the Covenant.

Dead orbit sounds like a location or event.

Do you know what kind of hat I'm wearing?

A party hat; you don't get one. An honor will this party be, a party in your honor, for your honor. Some of Tfear's personal guards are going to be there. You'll be introduced shortly.

Prepare to die.

I bet for 10 euros that the plot will revolve around Thot.

You dont normally trademark enemy names or level names, especially with names so generic and general. Its naming options for their next game.
