Subject: Why did YOU join Bungie.net?

I joined because halo had just come out, and i wanted to know what people thought of it. i didn't get halo till a few days after it came out. then i got bored of bnet (cause i never did anything on it), until i started posting my book. that's when i really joined.

Why did I join Bungie.net? Partially Halo, partially oldschool goodness, mostly WACCSMD.

  • 12.12.2005 10:44 PM PDT

Devil is Double is Deuce and Joker always trumps Deuce.

I started visiting the site on at least a weekly basis in late 2001, after seeing the 7th Column mentioned in the Halo manual. But I didn't join until after E3 2004, about 2 months after the new hotness came around.

I really joined because of Halo, but since then I have seen the true light of Bungie. Marathon is my reason for loving Bungie.

  • 12.13.2005 4:32 PM PDT

Long story short, when Halo first came out, I was not a big fan of it, I had the game but almost never played it. Then after an unfortunate event, I suddenly had some extra time to play Halo a little bit more, discovering one of premere jewls on the entire console. And once I was hooked, the natural step was moving my addiction online, where I could share it with others.

While Marathon is great, Halo introduced me to Bungie, and for that it will always be my personal favorite pick out of all of Bungie's games. And, of course, the reason that I joined Bungie.net.

I hope you still think it was I who won that ctf match on blood gulch over XBC. Yeah, that was fun. We should do it again, but wait... you're a WoW addict now, too bad.

Well, there were these gnomes see. They hid in my suitcase and snuck into my livingroom one night and bashed the hell out of my Xbox. Needless to say, the poor thing is now broken to bits. Poor ol' Betsy served me well in her day.

Either that, or my Xbox stopped working one day, and I bashed it several times... and it stopped working permanently. But don't you fret, I hope to be the proud new owner of an Xbxo 360 when that fabled New Shipment™ comes in, and when it does, I'll grab Halo 2 and whip your slimy ass once again.

I hear that new shipment is coming Soon™!

Actually I didn't. I just wanted an excuse to use the "Soon" bit.

With B.B. gone, the passion of Bungie.net has lessened.

It's hella fun, if you don't have it, you're missing out. I'm not naming names here, but certan individuals, I'm sure, would have a lot of fun with it espicially.

I am going to put the responsibility of joining this site squarely on the shoulders of Stalking Puma, it really was his idea.

I joined in May of this year on the 11th day, I wanted to join after Halo but found no real time until I was seriously obsessed with Halo and Halo 2

Because Bungie kicks ass... also most people support something that they like/are a fan of. You wouldn't want the would-be intelligent posters to think "hmmm, forums? nah, skew that, lets keep playing halo2... its not like the forums will be destroyed if we don't join!!!" if that happened only retards would join, then the forums would be like one big zanzibar, and there would be all of these posts about weapon balance and unfair multiplayer... then Bungie might think that 90% of forum users were morons and edit the game in their favor! *shivers at the thought of it*

Then again Bungie is a company that actually updates their site and has cool stuff on it. Why go anywhere else?
