Almost too often, someone will come up with another map idea, but it gets shut down as soon as it's proposed, mainly for the same reason, which is that Bungie is not going to make any more additions to Halo 2. They're done. But I just read pondumas' post, about the Carribean map, in Zanzibar and I just think it's a shame that while good, sincere ideas like pondumas' are given some thought by others, it eventually has to wither and die. But what if Bungie selected only a certain number of well thought map ideas, done by B.net members, that they especially liked and, with the permission of that member, created maps based entirely off of that person's idea. And if needed, Bungie could make their own adjustments here and there to make the map function at it's best. Every few months or so, they could release all the maps they've created from submitted ideas at once. Since the map ideas (pics, strategies, weapons etc.) are already presented to Bungie in full by the submitter, Bungie wouldn't have to double task with coming up with new maps and working on their current project. They'd just have to make little tweaks to it as needed to make the map function properly. Well okay, I'm not saying that it'll now be efforless to make those maps, I realize it'll still take much effort, all I'm saying is that some of those map ideas are pretty cool and should actually be taken into consideration. Why do I feel tense? Oh, right, it's because I know I've probably forgotten some obvious reason why this can't be done, and instead I'm just going to come off as inconsiderate.
