50 in H2/H3? Great, but you still fail at this.

Apple had to recall the emacs, due to the fact they were having bad caps. Apple doesn't make super reliable PCs. And don't get me started on their MP3 players.

Well that sounds pretty icky. I never had any experience with an eMac, but I can assure you that was not the case with any other Mac computer since 2000. And I'm sure HP or Dell has had a few mishaps in their time, it doesn't seem fair to call a company out on one incident.

Multiple pieces are better and more repairable. They use them for a reason. My HP DV6Z also has an allunium body, so not all PC laptops are "cheap plastic", only the cheap acer laptops are.

That HP computer you mentioned appears to be around $1,200 according to Google, which is the same price as a MacBook. At that price, no computer will be using cheap materials. If you have any proof that Macs use bad external hardware, I'd like a link.

My HP was $900, and they start at $700 for that model, and it's faster then a mac. As for bad internal hardware, well just ask ifixit. MacBook Pros aren't much better, you have to tear the whole thing apart to upgrade ram, while on a $400 dell, you just need to pop a small easy access cover to get to it. Apple Laptops are designed to look good, not be easily repariable.

Truth is, macs are ripoffs, and a pain to repair.

Mmhm. This forum doesn't understand that. It's their way or no way... Kinda like 1940's Germany...

Yeah. That's right. I don't have a 50 in H3. I never got Onyx in Reach. If a game sucks too much, I won't even bother trying for such trivial "accolades". Besides, I've done way more things that take far more skill and talent than anything that can be done in a video game.

I fail to see how Macs are beneficial to anyone's workflow unless they know next to nothing about computers.

Exactly. If they know next to nothing about computers they are likely to end up getting a virus. With a Mac it's harder to get a virus. Grant it that by far that does not make it superior, it just makes it work better for those specific types of people.

Don't know if you're talking to me or him. If it's me, well, I'd have to say I most likely am.

I grew up with PC's that I built myself.

I bought a Mac 3 weeks ago and I <3 it.
I know PC's in and out. I don't think I will ever go back.

I'd also run Linux > Windows anyday.

Linux is an excellent OS as I see it. Unfortunately, it suffers from the same problem Macs do in that there's no software for it.

If you know PCs in and out, then you would know macs are a bad buy.

Of course, you are the same kid who thinks H2V > PC.

Perhaps he was implying that liking a mac is the same as liking H2V? I don't know, and I don't care, make the logic out for yourself.

But as for the thread itself, Buying it for mac is expensive (like $100) and no retailers sell it (aside from amazon or eBay) because it sold out. But there is another way, if you are not too zealous to what OS you use (like most mac users), then there is always Crossover (it costs $30 but even with Halo PC, you STILL save $50) or Boot Camp, so you can play the PC version. (which is like <$15.)

That's the trial. It runs like crap on intel macs due to it running in emulation.

When did I ever say H2V > HCE? I said lol @ either taking skill. H2v and CE are full of people that can't play, kinda like with you and Halo 3.

Crossover Games does not work anymore. I am one of the people that continues to test that for codeweavers. As for the mac version vs the pc version, the mac version is the better of the two. It has native gamepad support/9xAA and and better shader support than the PC version.

Something smells fishy...

Macs are great but they are extremely expensive. You could get a desktop PC with the same or better parts as a Mac desktop for a significantly lower price.

I would definitely buy Macs if they were less expensive and supported all computer games.

Sadly the price differential between a high end PC and a high end Mac is vast.

What? Not at all. I played it all the time on my intel Mac and got an excellent FPS rate. Also, since they came out with the universal binary edition, doesn't that mean it's not emulation?

IIRC, the Mac version ran on a later version of Halo than Halo PC does. The most noticeable change is that player chatting would appear in blue on the top right of the screen along with the scoring commentary, something I miss.

The universal binary edition is a $5 patch, but then again, you did buy a mac. So you should be used to paying more.

OR you bought it because the programs you need run better in a mac... or there are some programs that are better for a certain job on macs that pcs don't have? Like... I dont know... Web design, music, and video creations? You know, creative stuff.
