unfortunately, no. Even with the amount of talented and creative modders, hackers, and map makers that are out there now there is currently no mods, or anything, that even closely matches Halo xbox's co-op. Since this would have to work over the internet the amount of online coding alone would take months, many months, something like this is just too complicated.

Its not something a modder could do without source code.

ya but given Halo's already relatively crappy netcoding, I'd wager that multiplayer co-op would be terrible. However, the concept of having to maintain a communication and character positions for two seperate players over the internet is very complicated. Especially when you take into account the fact that people who play Halo PC have widely varying systems of different power and capabilities. So for example, on your screen a banshee would still be flying at you head, while your co-op buddy could've already taken it out. It's conumdrums like these that make PC multiplayer co-op so hard, when you're playing it on the same system, it becomes much easier. Even if Halo 3 has online co-op it would be much easier then on a PC becuase they don't have to factor in the performances of different PCs. Every single Xbox 360 is made the same.
