Subject: What did Mendicant Bias do exactly?

Hard work can lead you to the path of salvation....Screw that take a shortcut its easier.

We all know about the Terminals in Halo 3, between Mendicant Bias and 343 Guilty Spark but the last terminal was directed at Johnn 117 aka Master Chief, himself...

MB said that he regrets what he did and he would repay for his wronging by helping Master Chief out...but what did he do exactly? Did he slow down Halo's activation timer? Did he open doors or something?

It's something that has been bugging me for a while and I just want to know what he did; is there an official explanation yet?

Mendicat Bias betrayed the Forerunners. He sided with the Gravemind, turned the Forerunners' own weapons against them, and almost led the Flood to total victory.

He regrets it, and wants to make amends by helping the Master Chief destroy the Flood in Halo 3.

He turned on the forerunners, and was brain washed by the Gravemind. It wouldnt have been as bad as it was, if the Forerunners werent so full of themselves and let their guard down.
Kinda reminds me of SGA with teh Ancients and the Wraith.

Cpt. Cutter, for those who don't get the referance.

I really never figured that out. The only thing I could ever figure out is that MB was the factor that closed the gate back to earth while the frigate was only half way through, and then recallibrated (for lack of better word) it to send MC to wherever MB wanted hom to go. But even then, why?

He was talking to the Gravemind as well, not just 434 GS.

He sided with the Mind because he convinced him the Forerunners were creating an evolutionary road block for the galaxy.

He wiped them out, and now he's sad about what he did. It can be said he's been helping you (the Chief) the whole way throughout the game, but its unknown for sure.

Anyway, he sends you "home" to the Legendary Planet to meet the Forerunners. (Funfact: The Chief says at the start of the last level "we'll head for the portal. Then we'll all go home."

With the Legendary Planet I thought that was a cryptic statement).
