Truth's massive Flagship

Exactly how big is it?

In one of the Halo Novels, Master Chief is inside the vessel en route to Earth? This story told us that thousands of Covenant Troops and tons of equipment were on the ship.

My current inquiry is as to how the ship has the capacity to do so, look at the HL'd image again, its a very thin vessel, and it appears to lack such capacity.

Please discuss :)

Yeah, we still believe in all the things that we stood by before.
I know, to everything we've seen here, maybe even more.
I know we're not the only ones and we were not the first.
And unapologetically we stand behind each word.

What? No, this is a Forerunner key-ship.

No, its not a fortess. Fortresses were 100 kilometers long in their most contemporary designs. The Keyship is a specialized ship built specifically for the purpose of activating the Excession (or portal).

It had immensly devastating weaponry for self defense, but it was no where close to the power or size of the fortresses.

OT: It looks to be at most about 4 kilometers long maybe . But we don't really know the interior design. Forerunner ship interiors are designed through the use of hard light. They can change the ship's design to fit any situation needed, so it isn't a stretch to think it could carry as much as it did.

What? Its classified Dreadnought (sp?), specialized Keyship. It is no where close to 100 kilometers long.

It's been scaled to 14 Kilometers based of Halo 2

Halo 3 makes things more complicated, as sizes are a bit weird in the portal scene, making it hard to actually tell how big everything there is supposed to be. But whatever the case its pretty big.

I would classify it as a Dreadnaught myself, with its massive firepower and speed, definitely, but how did it have such a carrying capacity, I mean look at it, its like a flying tower!

I wake up to find myself
After all these years
And where all the time has gone
Still seems so unclear

Fortresses were 100 kilometers long

It says 50 in the book.

However, I'm fairly certain the Prophet's used the Deep Reverence for the base of High Charity.

Read the rest of my post. In their most contemporary design. The Fortresses that destroyed the Halos were said to be twice as long as the Deep Reverance .

And the Keyship wasn't even close to 50 kilometers long either.

Slow down there for a second, when was an installation destroyed by the Forerunners? If so, dive deeper into what the would use to go about such a task, a ship possible 5x as long as the H-C War era-Supercarrier?

During the Forerunner-Flood war, Mendicant Bias took control of five of the twelve active Halos and attacked the Forerunner capital, an artificial planet, with them.

The Forerunner fleet responded, and a massive battle that likely destroyed both fleet, capital, and all Halo's present occured.

One escaped to the Ark, and rendevoused with the remaining six there.

This was about 10,000 years after Humanity defeated the Flood and kicked it out of the galaxy (it came back), and lost in a hard-fought war with the Forerunner. Who devolved them back to apes after destroying their civilization and banished them to Earth, their homeworld.

The gamertag linked to this account is an old one. My new one is James Voe Guy.

I'm no expert on the Forerunners, but would I be right in saying, that with the Forerunnners, the size of the outside of the ship may not match the size inside (bigger)? Just an idea haha.

We believe that the universe is unbounded: this is not the same as infinite: the 2-D surface of a sphere, wrapped around a 3rd dimension, has a finite size, but has no end. If you start off in a given direction on the surface of a sphere, you could return to your start point without having to turn around -- you simply go all the way around. But wouldn't that mean the universe has an escape velocity like the earth?

As far as I remember, the Keyship according to Terminal 6 in Halo 3 was approximately 37,654 tonnes exactly. Of course, considering it was under control of Mendicant Bias, and im scruffy today, I may be completely wrong.

As for height and width, I think it was around 7.1 miles high by 8.2 miles wide.

That sounds about right in 2, but yeah it looks smaller in 3. 14 kilometers puts it at about 1 and a half times the height of everest.

Rather small compared to the 27km Super Carrier...

"Concise and devoid of elegance...what I have come to expect from human communication"-Endless Summer

The Forerunners made a Dyson Sphere, one meter in real-space but massive inside(slipspace interior) so it might work the same way
