Ninja on Fire was a great asset to the Bungie.net community, and Halo 2 gamers everywhere. Thanks for all your hard work Ninja, and your interaction with the community! He will be missed.

Is anyone aware if someone is picking up his responsibilites? Does this mean that Bungie will be no longer culling the community in depth for new playlist input?

See ya Ninja, and good luck.

Didnt we have one of these?

Well, Ninja is gone after Friday, but it doesnt mean he is gone for good. And he said he would still stick around at the community. YOu know, b.net.. He is just gone from b.net.

I expect we will see a lot of him after his visit to hawaii, or mb some of him there.

And halo 2 is done. So they dont need a "playlist gibbon" currently. But in a few months, who knows, Ninja may be back at bungie and working on the "Next Projects" Playlist set.

So, not goodbye, but see you soon!

Countdown: 3.3 Days to go!

Just a little triva but HAL0 before it was named and the concept had came to form was codenamed Monkey Nuts. It later got changed to -blam!- for obvious reasons.

If memory serves, I think that it was due to the fact that "Monkey Nuts" could not be used in normal conversation with a developer's mother.

But that could be my imagination.

No, I think you're right too. Said developer didn't want to say that he was working on "Monkey Nuts" to his mum, hence the name "Blam!".

Now that is funny! "Yeah mom, I am working on 'Monkey Nuts' "

And on topic... maybe Frankie or someone in the know could comment on the idea that with Ninja leaving Bungie is going to be less agressive in pursuing playlist changes.
