*POSSIBLE SPOILERS*

Mine would have to be Delta Halo. Returning to one of the ring worlds was a seminal moment for me. One of my favorite parts in Halo: Combat Evolved's campaign was the first arrival on Halo.

Also, dropping like an ODST, and fighting alongside one, was unique. The environments are comprised of ancient structures, some containing a hologram of a prophet singing and preaching.

The Arbiter and Uprising are my next favorite levels.

R.I.P. Halo 2 11/9/04-4/15/10
If you havn't played Halo 2 online than you are missing so much. Plus if you have played a good amount of Halo 2 online, I might have a better chance of listening to anything you say.

Gravemind was my favorite without a doubt. I just loved that level. Just watching the elites and the brutes fight with sad and epic music just really make me feel that I should jump in and help the elites. I just love that level.

Well, Quarantine Zone is the best level for tricking and exploring but Outskirts was more fun and it had the Scarab gun.

Outskirts. Jumping on the rooftops is awesome. Plus it had a big enviroment, like metropolis, and it had those sweet, sweet wonderful snipers on the balconys.

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

Definately Gravemind.

The opening revelation that the Flood has an actual central intelligence was awesome, I'm one of the few fans who can say I loved that Little Shop of Horrors reject in Halo 2 because his character was so ominous and dark, you can tell he's got his own motives from the beginning and is able to persuade John and Thel to work with him.

Then we come to the level; a botched attempt to assassinate Truth, a rescue mission, the Covenant's divided loyalties (Sangheili fighting the Jiralhanae), a frontal assault on the Mausoleum and then a closing cutscene which makes it look like all hope is lost. Tartarus has the Index, Miranda and Johnson; Mercy is dead, making Truth the de-facto Covenant leader and he's on his way to Earth in the Forerunner Dreadnaught.

It was very well made, I really felt like I wanted to fight for the Elites (to the point where I never actually killed any). The music was divine too, tragic tunes that got built up and exploded into Breaking Benjamin at the end.

halo 2 still the best game in the series. long live halo 2.

Dam, I miss the old days playing halo 2 with my old brothers in arms. Thank you my old friends for giving me this account, I shall continue our legacy.

The Great Journey, the Arbiter teaming up with Johnson to take down Tartarus. That mission was fast moving and fun to play on Legendary. The ending really pissed me off with the cliff hanger after the elites making that alliance with the humans, I figured there would be one or two more missions.

I was going to add that level to the poll, but I figured I would just add uprising since it's sort of like part 1 of that mission.

It's definitely one of my favorites; kind of a throwback to Halo: CE's warthog escape with the ghost escape path part.

Gravemind is fun ad well. The fact that your inside the covenant city adds that sense of urgency and you think "hiw am I gonna do this" then you get marines! But overall the ending was amazing, how you find mercy dying, while truth showing his true colours. That was obe of my top faviroutes (besides quarantine zone, sacred icon, delta halo and uprising)

But am I the only one who notices the flood spores in the prison block areas?they crawl on the floor.

No, anyone who has played H2 a lot has seen them. How do you know for sure that they are Flood spores?

Lol, I didn't tell you anything, I asked a question. If you want them to be Flood spores, so be it.

I have no idea, for all I know they are Flood spore. Either Bungie just put them in for drill or maybe they're mentioned in one of the books, idk.

I will add that a lot of people that played only Live may not know of those creatures so this is a good discussion.

Outskirts for me (Assuming Outskirts includes Metropolis as well) as well. For the exact same reason. After learning about going on the rooftops I can never stop myself from doing it. The last time I actually went through that mission normally was in 2005. xD

There's lots of places to launch up but at the front of the tunnel you can get up without Sputnik or nades. This vid shows you how to get up on the roof in the beginning maps as well as up on the roof at the tunnel.

On the crouch jump at the tunnel entrance where I used a Hog you can also use a Ghost.

Edit: If you want to have fun getting off-level, I have a thread here. It's about the easy ways to get off-level in most maps.

WOW, that's awesome!

I might just spend the day now traversing through those maps.

I'm still waiting on my copy of Halo 2 PC, so this will definitely give me something to do. Thanks

Be sure to visit Quarantine Zone after you explore Outskirts. QZ is awesomely huge.

Why does everyone hate Halo 2? Maybe its because its the worst game ever next to mario.

My personal favorite was Delta Halo. I always liked those Forerunner structure enviornments.

It was one of my favorite levels to play on Legendary. It was something about the beginning of the level where you have to hold down that structure with the ODST's while the Phantoms came in and dropped off Covenant. Looking back at that part, it totally reminds me of a mini Halo 2 Firefight mode lol.

Plus, eversince I came across that room with the 2 dead grunts years ago, it became a personal favorite. Anybody know what I am talking about? It was near the Envy Skull. You would come across 2 dead grunts with 2 energy swords in this little secret room. I thought it was so random but awesome at the same time. What was up with that? Did 2 grunts just decide to have a sword duel in a dark room? xD

inoright? 2 dead Grunty's and 2 swords directly under the Envy skull. I probably ran past that area 50 times before someone told me about those swords.
