Subject: What if Jun wasn't a chicken?

alrite screw the zealot/field marshall thing.

If jun had been on the ground, then they wouldnt have known the covenant was there. Theyd walk into the first contact and get murdered. mayb Six, Carter and Kat would get out. And then your screwed for the rest of the game

Or, you know, Jun could have gotten off the Falcon at the relay, with Jorge and Six and Carter.
He would have been in the air for the rest of the mission.

Or, he could have AT LEAST provided sniper support, rather than just sitting in his damn chair.

In the first mission of the game, Jun doesn't touch the ground at all. Not once does he ever get out of the Falcon.

But what if he had gone into the relay with the rest of Noble?

When you think about it, it could have saved all the other SPARTANS -short of Jorge anyway- due to the simple fact that he could have killed the Field marshal.

This would immediately save Kat, who was killed directly by the field marshal. Then, during PoA, rather than send Jun with Halsey, Carter would have logically sent Kat.

Jun snipes all the Banshees at the beginnning, and Carter survives. With the support of the Pelican, Emile is never stabbed to death. Everyone gets away happy.

What do you think?

The Covenant do have multiple Zealots you know? That wasn't the same one at all, if it was meant to be the same one then it would have been made much clearer. And Carter clearly stated that he wanted Jun as the "eye in the sky" on the first mission.

And Pelicans are not meant to be air support vehicles, they do have weapons yes, but that is more to clear out opposition to their landing. They're a dropship, they're not intended for taking direct part in combat.

Actually, it's been widely accepted that there's one Feild Marshal per fleeet...or even in the covenant. Like an army equivelant of Imperial Admiral or Supreme Commander.

But it's spualation.Likely 100% one.

I may be a bit off on my knowledge of the family tree, but I do not believe Jun was related to me in any way. He was too bipedal.

Still, he is giving a lot of credit to a small group of skirmishers and grunts equipped with plasma pistols to kill 3 Spartans...
