In the first mission of the game, Jun doesn't touch the ground at all. Not once does he ever get out of the Falcon.
But what if he had gone into the relay with the rest of Noble?
When you think about it, it could have saved all the other SPARTANS -short of Jorge anyway- due to the simple fact that he could have killed the Field marshal.
This would immediately save Kat, who was killed directly by the field marshal. Then, during PoA, rather than send Jun with Halsey, Carter would have logically sent Kat.
Jun snipes all the Banshees at the beginnning, and Carter survives. With the support of the Pelican, Emile is never stabbed to death. Everyone gets away happy.
What do you think?
The Covenant do have multiple Zealots you know? That wasn't the same one at all, if it was meant to be the same one then it would have been made much clearer. And Carter clearly stated that he wanted Jun as the "eye in the sky" on the first mission.
And Pelicans are not meant to be air support vehicles, they do have weapons yes, but that is more to clear out opposition to their landing. They're a dropship, they're not intended for taking direct part in combat.
Actually, it's been widely accepted that there's one Feild Marshal per fleeet...or even in the covenant. Like an army equivelant of Imperial Admiral or Supreme Commander.
But it's spualation.Likely 100% one.
