I was saddened by the lack of open-type maps like Sandtrap in Reach... Sandtrap was one of the best maps in Halo 3, and none of the other maps really match its balance in open/CQC combat in Halo 2 or Reach. Bringing it back would be the greatest piece of DLC they could provide (new armour being out of the question).

But if you're reading, Bungie, leave the landmines. I don't want a soft kill zone telling me where I can and can't go.

yeah, the only real open btb map in reach is Hemorhage, which place just as fun as a Hemroid in your @$$, of you know what i mean.

It's had its moments. But then again, even citadel had its moments...
One more request to the bungie people who may or may not be listening: if we do get Sandtrap II, and we do get Elephants, can we keep the dimensional ratio between the width of the central channel and the length of the elephant? I got a pair of elephants wedged between the buildings in one game. It created one brilliant impromptu fort, where the enemies could still scale the walls and drop down from above or attack through the cave-like building. One awesome game.

And yeah, I get what you mean.

i doubt 2 elephants would be best because for the attacking team having an elephant would give them the advantage they need, but thanks for the feedback regardless.

For the BTB variant... Sorry if that was unclear.

Two elephants would definitely be too much for invasion. In fact, just the one elephant would cause a shakeup in phase 1/2 Elite loadouts.

yeah, i could see the elephant working after the second phase is complete, you know, maybe to transport the core to one of the towers like the picture in the udate showed...

that would be pretty cool.

...Actually, I've just thought of the damage a banshee could do to an elephant. That would probably balance out. Particularly now that it can lock on to turrets.

huh... interesting, assuming bungie makes them killable unlike halo 3...

in halo 3 legendary vid, they said that choppers were put in H3 to show that the brutes became higher up in the covy bcs of the l33t's departure. I think revenant could replace chopper, cuz rev is elite version of chopper.

Revenant's the prowler/spectre remake.

And I mean an invincible Elephant. It's like shooting armoured fish in a barrel.

true, but then again, nobody really liked prowlers since warthogs ruled the ground... but revenants ARE better, so that will definitley be interesting to see. especially if bungie DID remake choppers, and the chopper and revenant were on the same map...

Well, that would solve the great debate once and for all.

I dunno. I mean the whole outside portion of the map (which was like 85% mind you) was practically built for the chopper! Without the Chopper it wouldn't feel the same to me. And I really didn't like the map a whole lot anyways , not enough variety in the scenery. OOH LOOK SAND! And ROCKS! And ...well thats about it. So if bungie is willing to spice it up and beautify it I would be willing to play it. So I'll vote "yes" in the hopes that the remake would get an "Extreme Makeover Halo Addition".Oh and if they remade the Elephant you would have a guaranteed sale from me.
Sorry but I couldn't resist saying this. Sandtrap was meant for Warthogs. Not choppers. Yeah sure it was meant for vehicles and that includes choppers as well but it was mainly meant for the Warthog. Bungie said it themselves.

yeah, it may have been designed for warthogs, but it plays just as well for choppers IMOP
