SANDTRAP was my (tie for first or second or third) favorite map. I don't see why they don't have sand or snow levels made because its what most of us wants! I mean creating a dust or snow storm effect is hard but it will be like all of the other map packs for me. I buy them ALL
Same here. I mean, who really likes Urban maps? I mean, some of them have good layouts, such as Headlong, but the aesthetics just don't match up (in my opinion) to a tropical, sandy, or snowy map that has sand or snow particle effects.

So let me get this straight: you start off on the sandy shores outside the perimeters of Sandtrap, then you press on to a sandstone battlefield inside the large circler inclosing structure, and then the attackers must capture the core and bring it to the extraction point on the opposite side?
Sounds epic! but difficult at the same time. It would be mayhem trying to carry the core uphill towards extraction. The question is: will attackers be human or elite? I assume human, but just making sure.
One thing I couldn't agree more with is having the regular BTB experience much different. Invasion maps just don't work well with regular BTB, and the outer area needs to be blocked off. This would be perfect for a release as a DLC map because it would actually work for both playlists-- Invasion & BTB. I take my earlier comment back: I don't want this idea to be a complete sandbox map like forgeworld. I'd rather have a new forgeworld concept map separate from this idea. That way this could be a map pack with Sandtrap Invasion, Sandtrap BTB, and a new forgeworld.
The new forgeworld could have a new theme to allow for a much different, and fun experience while forging. Having a unique, and free to work with map canvas should be separate from the sandtrap map, because you don't want your forging template to be confined with the layout of sandtrap (that just limits the amount you can work with in forge). As far as the other Ideas mentioned in this thread, I still like having choppers, elephants, phantoms, pelicans, and sandstone forge pieces-- but just have those forge ideas go along with a new forgeworld idea.
Ehh, I don't know if combining the map with another Forge World would be that good of an idea. That would mean that everything would have to be forge-able in that area. But it could work, I just don't approve, especially because it probably wouldn't have Elephants if it was a FW.
If everything was forgable, wouldn't it make the framerate drop or something? I heard that's what happens on forgeworld sometimes.
