1) the plasma pistol / plasma grenade combo rocks
2) take it slow
3) save invisibilities and overshields for places you really need them
4) keep a pistol at your side

dont stop moving when the flood is about (especially on the library)
snipe as much as you can
given the option to A: fight your way through a room or B: run around the outside thus avoiding conflict, go with B

With the flood, dont let then corner you or let them surround you. If you read the Halo book: The Flood, you would know that when the flood appears, retreat backwards and keep them in front so you can pick them off with the pistol. If the vault into the air, switch to shotgun and blow them off the sky.

If theres a carrier form in the group, shoot it with the pistol. The resulting explosion will kill a lot of the surrounding flood.

Maybe you know this already, but on AotCR, when you get to the natural bridge above the pyramid, you can jump down onto the strut that extends down into the gouge in the ground. Simplifys everything. No nasty covenant to kill on your way up into the Control. You still have to fight the ones inside the big hallway, but thats it.

Heres TDudes Legandary guide! Made on the spot, by me!

1. Cover cover cover. Those are the things you should always be thinking. If you're in cover, I.E. Behind a rock, consider getting to a better vantage point, but never consider anything that doesn't have good cover. No Cover = Death. I'm serious. Everything in Legandary hurts a lot. Cover will save your butt.

2. Make sure you're always loaded. This isn't nesassry for Covie weapons, of course, but with human guns such as the pistol or AR, you'll get pissed off routinely if you jump out of cover to find you only got three shots left in your round.

3. Every weapon in legandary, even the needler, is useful. EVERYTHING. But you must judge your situation and decide which weapon is best suited for the moment, I.E The AR is great for close range "finish-em-offs" but you wouldn't want it for long range endevours. Which brings me to point 4:

4. Think ahead. You've gone through it on easy, so you should basically know what lies ahead. Always think and get ready. Judge the area: Where is the best place for a shoot and crouch? Where can I snipe some grunts off with little reprucussion? Think ahead will save your life.

5. Each enemy in this game requires a differant tactic. This is what I do.

Grunts - The best weapon on a grunt (in legandary, at least) is the pistol, hands down. Get safe, up high or a little bit away, scope in, aim for the head, and your almost guarenteed a one hit kill. If not, quickly let off another round to do him in. AR is useless unless up close, which is usually suicide (Grunts hurt!) Plasma pistol or rifle are good either way. just don't get too close. You can actually be pretty accurate from a distance with a plasma pistol, just aim carefully and let off a load of shots. Always take out the grunts first.
Don't waste shotgun shells or bazooka rounds on them unless you have to. Nades are waste, but if you must, use the frags. Plasma's are too valuable.

Elites - The bread and butter. These jerks will piss you off. With any weapon, they are masters. Cover is important with elites, as is the shoot-and-crouch tactic. But my best results are with a plasma pistol and an AR. Load up the PP, get out of whatever cover your in, quickly aim and fire, then rapidly switch to the AR, and while he's grunting, fill him up with lead.
Frags are useless on Elites except to get them out of where ever their hiding. They dodge frags to easily. if you can stick them with a plasma, do it, and run. Shotguns are deadly against Elites, but it takes a few rounds to get them out, so be careful.

Jackals - These guys aren't to hard as long as you dodge their loaded up PP shots and stay in cover, because they shoot those Plasma pistols FAST. I'm talking 3/second at least. They hurt. The best way to get them is to aim in on their weak shield point (the little bit at the top you can see isn't part of the shield) with a pistol or sniper. Another good method is to launch a fully loaded PP shot at their shield to knock it out, and then just kill them with whatever you got. once a jackal's lost his shield, he's toast. They're really weak without them. One or two shots anywhere usually does it.
Any grenade is good against them. they roll out of the way, but the blast usually hits them anyway, knocking them off kilter and giving you a good shot at them.

Hunters - Easy. Just let them melee you, spin out of the way, and shoot at the weak point with a pistol or sniper. If you have none of those, just keep doing that and they'll go down eventually. Since they come in pairs, you may have to dodge his partners gas cannon blasts, but it shouldn't be too hard.
I wouldn't suggest grenades, since their really easy to dispatch of, it seems a waste. Rockets are okay against them.

Flood - I heap these into one category since their is only one basic tactic: Shoot that little ones with a cheap pistol or rifle, and use the shotgun on the big ones. Back away, always, make sure your always moving, since they use all guns, and throw a couple 'nades if you feel inclined to do so; they don't care.
The big ones that explode? I find the best way to take care of them is too get close and let them fall over and then back off fast.

6. Conserve heath. Don't go to a checkpoint if you think you can do better on that part. Load up and DO better. heath is key. It disappears to fast.

7. This should be a no brainer. Always duck behind cover and wait for your shield to recharge. Once it's low, it's basically gone, since everything is big hit around here.

That's it! Knock yourself out.

Flood throw grenades? I have never seen theem do that. And I believe you are over reliant on the pistol. For Grunts just use any weapons. I grenade/melee Jackals. Elites=plasma rifle continously/ needler/ grenade if you can. Flood = shotgun. Plasma rifles can do serious damage to them, little and big. Some people are going to have serious problems when Halo 2 lacks the pistol

Oh and I do play at Legandary, these tactics are based there not on E, N, or H.

Another thing to do on AOTCR, is when you get to the natural bridge, there should be two banshees. Rush in, kill the elites and hop in the banshee, then fly off the egde and double back to kill the second banshee following you, then go to the top of the pryimid, as you noticed the covies on the pryimid are not there. Go to the top where you open the big blast door, throw grenades in, and try and wait till the gold sword elite comes out and kill him, if your banshee is still in good condition, then fly in shooting, and that's the whole last part of the level.
