Yes I did. I said they HAD to land to get the cortana fragment, and immediately after they fled.
You don't understand. The Pillar of Autumn literally could not go into atmosphere, because the pressure would crush the ship like tin foil. Why do you think it was messed up in The Maw?

It was messed up because it was attacked by a Covenant fleet, and crashed into the planet. It crashed in an uncontrolled manner.

No, I;m saying it HAS to be possible, if it happened.
Saying that it's possible because it happened is similar to saying retcon, which is something you lost a point for last time, so... I think that's strike 3!

Have you seen my mind anywhere? I seem to have lost it...

0x0 x0x 0x0 000 000 x0x 000
x0x 0x0 0x0 0xx 000 0x0 000
x0x x0x x00 0xx 0x0 x0x 0x0

I have seen you future

You're saying that something is now possible that was once impossible without offering an explanation. This means that you failed to fill a plot hole, and this is the third time, meaning that you're out.

Don't feel bad. explaining all of the errors in the canon now is an impossible task. The reason that people complain about the plot holes is that they are unexplainable, and they ruin our beloved story.

I used to love to read the books... then reach came out. Now I don't know anymore.

I don't even really recall it being that messed up, other than a few fires here and there and a little damage to the outside of the ship. Most of the damage I recall was when the ship was -blam!-ing self-destructing after Chief overloaded the reactor.

It's lame that the things you can't prove are right, you make up random facts for them -_-

"What do you hear?"
"Nothing but the rain."
"Then grab your gun and bring in the cat."
"Boom, boom, boom!"

how does halsey not know about the spartan III's in first strike but see them in halo reach?

She doesn't know they're S-IIIs.

Are they all SPARTAN-IIs?

Or, as I suspect from their inelegant personas, are they substandard versions of the SPARTAN-II? Perhaps from a parallel program (JAVELIN?), or some next-gen venture piggybacking on the last three decades of my work.

Suspicions but no actual confirmation until GoO.

This is so minor, how did anybody catch this? Ill use my last resort answer for this one: Bungies new games override existing canon. Therefore the little snippet of words were it says halsey doesn't know about spartan 3s is no longer canon. But thats not a real answer, even though it IS true, so 2 strikes for me.

Halsey thought that they were Ackerson's new line of spartan II's, this was explanied in her diary.

Imagine if you will, an airoplane without wings.

It would be fine in space, but in atmosphere it would drop from the ski, right?

The POA is that airoplane, it was built in space, and was meant to be used in space.

Keys would not have 'had to risk it' to get the cortana fragment, thats just stupid.

Pelicans can transition from space in to atmosphere, so why didn't keys send a pelican down to pick up noble six.
It would make more canon sence.
