I think it will still be good.

Due to some e-mail dumbness, my GT is not the one listed on my profile. My GT is the same as my board name.

The game was great I'll give it that, but the only reason it is cherished was because the memories was cherished. Same with Halo 2 and Halo 3.

I disagree with this. So much. I can play CE any time, and my enjoyment has nothing to do with memories, it has everything to do with it being an awesome game.

I'm still on the fence about the viability of a remake though.

Dunno why people are complaining about a remake. If you don't end up liking it, you'll still have the original game to play. That's how I'm looking at it.

That's how I'm looking at it too. I still play all of the Halos. A remake won't change anything. It most likely won't be on the PC so it's not like it would even effect the only constantly flowing community that is attached to the original.

True, the memories can't be remade, but new ones can be created. Not too sure what else there is to discuss.

Doc: "i'm a pacifist"
Caboose: "your a thing that babies suck on?"
Tucker: "no dude, that's a pedephile"
Church: "tucker, i think he means a pacifier"

I laugh when I hear people pin Halo's value to nostalgia. I know so many people that still play and enjoy it to this day, that doesn't happen based solely off nostalgia.

EXACTLY! I just booted up CE yesterday on my xbox, and had more fun in the campaign than anytime basically during H3 or Reach.. most of my enjoyment of 3 and Reach was toward the beginning when it was all new and i was hyped. But I LAN'd CE and 2 yesterday with my buddies and we realized the gameplay is just.. better. I can't explain it, it must be the simplicity but it works and we enjoyed the hell out of it even after 9 hours straight.
