What a waste....

Yes. There was extreme pain.

yep, imagine having every bone in your body broken healed re-broken stretched and then covered in metal.
thats basically what it was not to mention they were augmenting the nerves themselves, its safe to say they were in as much pain as is physically possible for a human being to feel.

If you can read this, that means I'm not a Shaolin monk...

yet.

Unfortunately, yes.

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

It had a high failure rate, leaving many candidates crippled and disfigured.

John's eyes bled during the augmentation procedure, Kurt notes that he felt like napalm was being pumped into his body and glass shattering in his marrow.

From the top of my head, I believe 39 out of 75 survived. Do not take my word for it, wait for ajw to prove me wrong and then go on to stating the contradictions in the different sources, and ultimately type something about Reach being a disgrace to the Halo Story.

At that point, I shall quote.

Yes, I'm a girl, stop asking.

Republic Commando fans look here.

"This is the way the world ends, not with a bang or whimper, but with zombies breaking down the back door."

I don't have Halsey's journal with me at the moment, but I think she mentioned something about the rate of success.

Since half of them ended up either dying or crippled, I'd say a 50/50 chance, possibly higher.

Out of 75 children...

37 passed with no problems(this includes Black Team who likely had their "deaths" faked by ONI during the augmentations)

12 were crippled extremely badly.

So 26 of them died from the procedure.

But yes, it was EXTREMELY painful.

You can't start a sentence with "but".

But you are correct.
