Subject: Played some 4v4 LAN the other day...

Now I haven't played Halo 2 probably since 2008. I probably played some campaign because XBL shut down the servers and I moved right on to Halo 3 and didn't really look back. Now I'm on reach and I'm doing ok.

So I made a trip to see a friend for his birthday and we had a good time. Partied and drinks all around that sort of thing. On the last night my friend had the idea to set up H2 for Lan because we were reminiscing about the good ol' days. He then mentioned that they do this probably once a month or so since they don't have XBL. I said I was in and off we went.

Now it took me one game to get back into the swing of H2 but once I did I was unstoppable. I carried my team every game and my K/D was the best. Now I don't know what it was but H2 just clicks for me. How I could beat 7 other guys consistently at a game I haven't played in over 3 years is beyond me. They have also been playing the game once a month so that they were in shape from practice.

Bottom line is I guess I'm naturally good at Halo 2 and I miss being naturally good at Halo in general. I want H2 back because I was better at that game than any of the other Halos.

This is actually the stupidest thing ever posted on B.net:

Why does everyone hate Halo 2? Maybe its because its the worst game ever next to mario.

Awesome man. So did you just have 2 TV's and played 4 players on each? Tell us what gametypes you guys played and what maps. I remember the good ol' days of Halo LAN's, but I have not done anything recently.

The only LAN I did after the shut down was a silly 1v1 LAN against my best friend. We were very similar in terms of skill. I actually brought my big ass Sanyo TV over that barly fit in my passenger's seat LOL.

All the trouble we went through just to get a Halo 2 1v1 night going was well worth it. I never knew you could have so much fun with just 2 players.

We played all night, throwing a $1 bet on each game. As the night went on and the beer went down, the gametypes maps got more ridiculously fun.

What a night. What a night...

Halo 2 for Life!

Yeah it was a lot of fun if I was winning or losing or lost or won. It was just plain awesomeness. I knew every time I got on I would be having fun and those playing with me seemed to have equal amounts of fun.

If your triumphant say good game and move on to when you can play it next and then rub it in others faces that you're the best lol or don't and just play, learn , interact, win when possible, relive your stresses for how much time you have to play (usually an hour for me), and have fun like I did.

It doesn't get much better than Halo 2 on Xbox Live for having fun that is for sure.

50 in H2/H3? Great, but you still fail at this.

You are naturally good because it is n00bified.

You are noobified. You simply can not tell me that H2 is more noobish than Reach. It is just not true and the majority of the community will agree with me, so stop trolling.

And yea we had two tv's with 4 on each tv. We are poor college students so the tv's weren't that great one 17 inch and another 21 inch. Most of the games we played were just standard 4v4 slayer on just about every map. Played some one flag on zanzibar and a few multi flag games on coagulation and midship.

Halo 2 is worse. You are just mad because reach is different, that's all.

Don't let him get to you, he trolls this forum all the time. He used to be a good contributing member, but now all he does is troll for reasons I fail to understand.

Anyway... going back to Halo 2 and having a LAN party is always amazingly fun isn't it? I haven't had the privilege to have a Halo 2 LAN party recently, but they are always awesome. I think it's time for me to rally the troops and get one started.

Trolling indeed. Reach is awesome in my opinion but has added more gimmicks to the gameplay. I have no problem with Reach as is and I look forward to playing it more in the future. He's not getting to me at all btw just burning a deeper hole for himself. Yes, H2 has huge potential for those H3 fanboys out there that want to connect with Halo's roots. H2 is always awesome when it comes to MP capability.

Halo 1 is way better then Halo 2. Halo 2 is for n00bs who can't aim.
