Yeah it was a lot of fun if I was winning or losing or lost or won. It was just plain awesomeness. I knew every time I got on I would be having fun and those playing with me seemed to have equal amounts of fun.
If your triumphant say good game and move on to when you can play it next and then rub it in others faces that you're the best lol or don't and just play, learn , interact, win when possible, relive your stresses for how much time you have to play (usually an hour for me), and have fun like I did.
It doesn't get much better than Halo 2 on Xbox Live for having fun that is for sure.

Now I haven't played Halo 2 probably since 2008. I probably played some campaign because XBL shut down the servers and I moved right on to Halo 3 and didn't really look back. Now I'm on reach and I'm doing ok.
So I made a trip to see a friend for his birthday and we had a good time. Partied and drinks all around that sort of thing. On the last night my friend had the idea to set up H2 for Lan because we were reminiscing about the good ol' days. He then mentioned that they do this probably once a month or so since they don't have XBL. I said I was in and off we went.
Now it took me one game to get back into the swing of H2 but once I did I was unstoppable. I carried my team every game and my K/D was the best. Now I don't know what it was but H2 just clicks for me. How I could beat 7 other guys consistently at a game I haven't played in over 3 years is beyond me. They have also been playing the game once a month so that they were in shape from practice.
Bottom line is I guess I'm naturally good at Halo 2 and I miss being naturally good at Halo in general. I want H2 back because I was better at that game than any of the other Halos.
