Keep in mind I almost never quit, I just hate the fact there are over 6 different bans in the game, kind of leads me to think Bungie just enjoy punishing there fanbase.

Well, you guys seem to support on-disc hidden content. that wouldn't be new armor, would it? it's like if bungie hid the mission that would explain june's ending on the disc and release it as "DLC" on the marketplace for 1200 MS pts, much like BC2 did with their first "map" packs (at least they were free for people who got the game new). that's not "new", it's just hidden content that bungie deemed to make you pay for to get.
i see what you are getting at, but if Bungie wanted to keep this a secret, the method you showed here would not be an effective way of doing it. even if these were hidden with new name, the file sizes would give them away and the forums would be flooded with "there is a secret campaign hidden on the disk" topics. hiding armour is much easier than hiding all out missions or maps.
also its Jun, not June
yeah sorry about that typo; it's 1 o'clock here and I've been doing maths all day. stupid ODEs...
anyways, you guys spit out some theories about hidden content, I didn't make these up...
a few posts above mine:
Like I and other people have said, If bungie wanted it to remain a secret then they would of had the foresight to hide it from hacker/modders. Someone in another post said that they see the file names and reported unused files for AAs or something so who is to say that one of these is not the file for new armor? yes they have access to everything but bungie is not likely to call it 'secret armor' they would hide it/call it something that no one would think of.
edit- READ THE POST ABOVE my friend here puts it ALOT better than me lol
actually i believe i have read somewhere that the disk locked content was actually confirmed by a Bungie employee
okay so not confirmed, but it is an effective method to allow "DLC" of non-downloadable items, like armour
but basically my point is that this hidden content is NOT a theory, it's what bungie did with halo 3's recon and flaming helmet, its what they did with Johnson in ODST, and its what they did with the preorder and edition exclusives of reach
even the nameplates follow this scheme, when you chose a nameplate, the authorization file is sent to your game telling it to display the changes
