That's why conspiracy theories are so popular. They always tell a more interesting story than the truth, and don't bear the burden of proof.
To me, those pictures are just promotional marketing photos. Nothing more. They are evidence of nothing, other than somewhere, there exists a helmet which we do not have. It could literally be anything.
But the human mind has a hard time grasping the random or chaos. We like to assign meaning to things that inherently have no meaning. "Everything happens for a reason" is the worst phrase in existence. Some things just are, and just happen. Quite the opposite is true. Not everything happens for a reason. Our lives are a sequence of random events strung together from a singular viewpoint. We assign reason to things we cannot explain to try and comfort us from the fact there is much that we do not know and will never know.
Ok. I can agree with that a little... however there still is some truth to "everything happens for a reason" yes some things "just are" and "just happen" however your completely leaving out cause and effect... for instance... 343I would have re-assured us that the armor will never exist. They would have flat out told us that the armor was 343 exclusive armor or whatnot. Also why do people assume the pictures are for promotional use only? why would you try to promote your maps with new armor that is not obtainable? that's false advertising. you can't do that :I and I wouldn't expect that from bungie or 343I.
Not necessarily. Coming out with a definitive answer, one way or another, squashes all discussion to a certain degree. Case in point, turn to the H3 forum and look at two monster threads:
The "Finding the Assassin Skull" and "The Secret of Sandtrap".
In both cases, the rumors were false, but yet Bungie did nothing to resolve any false claims one way or another. Instead, they let the threads linger, and grow to mythic proportions. In the end, there was no secret. Those are the best type, as it allows the user to just pontificate and use their imagination. The best secrets are the ones that don't exist. There is no secret.
So, I would trust 343i or Bungie to squash something that is not ture, as they haven't always done this in the past. Why would they? By remaining quiet, it perpetuates the rumor, true or false, and creates more traffic and discussion. All good things in their eyes. It's the perfect marketing tactic, as it requires no action on their part. All they had to do was post a picture. We did the rest.
I have definitive proof that new armor does indeed exist, go to my fileshare, download Halo Chess, and take a close look at the spartans, and then at the color of the elites after you move them.Agreed. I am playing it currently and there are tons of armor , colors and occurances happening that modders never revealed and they always reveal every little tidbit about games after release.
Not to mention alpha zombies which was previously thought to be IMPOSSIBLE TO ADD yet here it is lol.
Im pretty sure if modders TOTALY cracked the game they would have had armor and colors like this. But they never did.
. The Flame trail power up trait as well as being able to put a flaming flag on your back wasnt possible before this playlist update.
IF IT WAS then modders would have been wearing Haunted, flame streak powerup, flaming flag on their back and incliment weather /blue flames.. They always put as many cool things on at once as they possibly can.
Bungie ADDED these things to the gametype and im sure they have some new tricks that allow them to modify things beyond what we currently understand =)
From now on IF YOU DONT work for bungie dont come in here and say things arent possible.. unless you actually work for them you cant prove they havent found a way to add such things =)
