They can't ADD new armour, but if it was ALWAYS there and they just didn't release it...I think it is possibly a new helmet

Does anyone know if hackers got recon armor? I don't remember anyone doing that. If so, could it be like Recon?

before the release of the game, modders were unable to access the preorder, exclusive, and waypoint armour due to the requirement of unique permission files that are kept under lock and key until they are given out. it's only when they are given out that a modder is able to duplicate these files and unlock the armour for themselves

Aha! That means that even the best modders can't unlock it, interesting.

No, it doesn't. If it really was on the disk then Xbox modders are bad at their hobby. Key codes won't stop hackers. They just have to find the right codes. Not every hacker can do that but actual hackers can access pretty much anything. Especially if it's on their own disk. I don't believe that armor is disk locked because there has been five months for hackers to find the right codes. Don't count on me but that's pretty much what hackers do. They hack stuff and if something is blocking them they will find a way to pass it.

It could mean that hackers are really bad at their job, or Bungie is really good at theirs, maybe they came by one wall, that no matter how much they tried to get through it, couldn't.

Keep in mind I almost never quit, I just hate the fact there are over 6 different bans in the game, kind of leads me to think Bungie just enjoy punishing there fanbase.

actually, done just right it does become nearly impossible for the most skilled hacker to succeed. the permission files are unique to each armour set and can only be duplicated with the basic code of the original

and if that original file is kept hidden, it cannot be duplicated

I don't remember anyone doing that for recon though... or flames in Halo 3. It took a long time for people to even find out that flames was a chest.

Which is why hackers have already hacked the flaming helmet, the recon helmet, and the elite officer armor, as well as Jorge's red visor, Kat's custom armor, and Jun's customized arm knife, right...?

Oh. Wait.

Think about the highest ranked player in the game... They have been unable to unlock anything for over 3 million credits.. At the highest possible rank they will have over 10 MILLION credits to their disposal. Do you really think that Bungie would let someone be able to unlock everything in less than 6 months...? Plus what about allll those credits.. They must have some things in store that are in the 5-10 million range that we have yet too see.

the total cost of all items in the armory is 9,634,201 cR, the level cap is at 20,000,000, there has got to be something else for us to unlock with that amount

Flash if you love the Halo 2 ODST! <3

Alright, another thing..
Armory Completion Percentages.
Will this new armor add to the percentages?
I have seen a player with 99%...Will he/she be set back a bit?

First one to reply gets a (::)

I just can't believe that the same arguments are still going on. Are people so foolish that they still doubt the legitimacy of the photos? They're on Halo: Waypoint for goodness sake! It's so obvious that it's a ploy on Bungie's part that I can't believe some people are stupid enough to think it false.

Some still don't believe, even though we have some hard proof.

Welcome to B.net, Nobody believes anybody until they get their hands on it.

If they are real, then chances are they won't count towards your total completion.
And if the armor comes with the DLC, it'll mean that there'll be a title update to give the armor to all. Otherwise there would be people who can't see it.

I still think it's an internal test build or something of the sort.
But i look forward to be proven wrong if that is not the case.

I can't understand it. There's a bloomin' picture of it on an official Halo website. How can you see that and still think there won't be any form of armor update? Dumbasses.
