We know that.

But 343 have overseen the development of the maps and basicaly decided what the maps are going to be.

Am I supposed to write something funny here?

Seriously Oak, Ive been doing this -blam!- for 16 years, gimmie my Friggen starter Pokemon and dont call me till im the champion! ¬_¬

It is pretty awesome, the multiplayer maps we've been given by bungie have always been very much "Up for question"

Just contributing to a thread on here about sandtrap, that map had no logical plot or related to anything, it was there for the sake of expanding the universe in a way we have No Idea Of

You enter these maps and think "Where am i? whats this Strange Structure? theres no halo ring, where am i? whats that shiney blue orb in the distance? Oh right, sticky gren-*Boom*"

Besides i was quite dissapointed with Reachs pre-built MP maps, since they all were almost all rehashed from the campaign (or vise versa)

Its a first, and i really hope its not the last

343 (now) have all creative rights to Halo, nothing gets done without their say-so, so they really would be on top of this map pack like a cat on a birds nest

Reach is still Bungies thing. I remember them talking about taking care of Reach till the end.

Dark Neptune, a young amateur astronomer whose gaming life is no different from other teenagers of his age, though he controls it more strictly then others.

People here seem to be extremely dumb.

343 didn't made the new DLC maps. Certain Affinity, the company who helped made the Halo 2 DLC maps Tombstone and Desolation (if I am not wrong), made it.

Bungie even clearly states it in their B.net Top Story press release, and heck, 343 wasn't even mentioned.

  • 02.15.2011 4:58 AM PDT

Relax, peeps. If there are any confusions about the ones who made the maps, the answer is: "343 in partnership with Certain Affinity." Ok,

If you can read this, that means I'm not a Shaolin monk...

yet.

343 had more to do with this than Bungie did. Luckily.

Aren't 3/3 maps from established lore? Didn't they mention titanium mines in the books? That's what Unearthed is anyway.

OMG a Pwny!

The maps were part of a 343 partnership with Certain Affinity. 343 also made the trailer for it, and put the music together, which is from the Legends OST.

Indeed, but said titanium mines were those within and around the proximity of the mountain range Castle Base was located at. Based on the description this titanium mine is somewhere near the area where Tip of the Spear takes place. Still either way it is a nice nod to the fact that it shows something else that validates Reach being an apparent planet of strategic military value besides the comparatively minor looking ship building operations near Anchor 9.

Oh right. I've never read the books, so I didn't know. Thanks. Its cool that there is a nod to the titanium mines in that respect then.

343 did not make these maps, how many times does it have to be said?

You can read the rest of the thread and see how your comment was already stated.

You could also realize that the entire point of the thread has nothing to do with that.

But that's asking a lot
