I don't recall anyone saying that 343 had any affiliation with the Defiant maps other then having the trailer on Waypoint. Can someone seriously give me proof that 343 made them, please? Since all Bungie said was that Certain Affinity made them, not 343.

Yeah, and a Certain Affinity isn't a Gaming Company.

You need to practice your Grammar.

Here you go.

EDIT:I apologize.

I just went back and read it over. =(

Anyway, the video is above that has the proof that 343 made it.

I'm agent Nahman Jayden, eff-bee-eye.

Leaked videos that showed the map description and author, the author's name is 343 Industries, and I think (think, so don't attack me if I'm wrong) in the Major Nelson article it said it was made by Certain Affinity AND 343i, so most likely the story behind the maps, location and what not were from 343 while the physical maps were made by Certain Affinity.

all right, cool. I was just wondering, since I don't watch leaked videos that often.

Thanks =)

They kept of saying it was made with the help of Certain Affinity. Well if the helped, who the heck were they helping. I know it was 343, but it's not obvious.

It's been confirmed a few times over, as well as a supposed leak pic showing 343 Industries as the "Creator" on the map screen.

It includes two Multiplayer maps and a Firefight mission, all lovingly crafted in partnership with Certain Affinity - we can't take any of the credit.

Taken directly from the article on the front page of Bnet.

My guess is that Certain Affinity made the maps under the watchful eye of 343i. Not that they need the supervision, seeing as the founder of Certain Affinity is a 10-year Bungie veteran.

The partnership makes sense seeing as Certain Affinity made Halo Waypoint, which 343 is in charge of.

Am I supposed to write something funny here?

Why it says 343i as the author on the vid if Certain Affinity made the maps? Could it say 343i because they just leaked the maps on Pnet and the game put them on the author spot?

If you can read this, that means I'm not a Shaolin monk...

yet.

Certain Affinity gets hired by game developers to make maps. They made maps for Bungie several times in Halo 2 and Halo 3.

343 hired Certain Affinity to make the maps, because Bungie isn't working on Halo anymore, 343 is.

That's why at the end of the trailer you see 343's logo, not Bungie's (anywhere in the trailer).

343 is technically the developer for any Halo related stuff now. It's a shame but it's the truth. You'll see that the map author will say 343 industries when they are released.

A shame?Why?

There is no problem with 343.

No, not necessarily, but it's a shame that such a great developer who gave us 10 years of Halo awesomeness has to step aside. Halo will never be Halo if Bungie isn't involved as far as I'm concerned.

Just take a look at Halo Wars and you'll see what I mean. :/

But Bungie was involved with Halo Wars, they worked closely with Ensemble to make sure everything came out right.

I think you're just mad because right trigger didn't make things die.

the most likely reason 343's logo is on the trailer, is because they made the video... certain affinity alone "made" the maps, regardless of advice from Bungie or 343i.
