Achronos: And what's this about a "design team" I've been hearing? Apparently stosh is so awesome he's now considered a "team".

In every Halo game you have always had shield/health bar but no armour bar. In every Halo game you wear a massive suit of armour but yet it does not protect you. You could even say that the "armour" if you could call it that are what has made Halo what it is. Yet in every game the armour does nothing for you it is only shields and health that actually protect you. It just does not make sense wearing all that armour and gaining no actual protection.

If you can make sense of why this is so I would like to hear it.

Am I supposed to write something funny here?

"Thou shalt not mix gameplay and canon"

-The eleventh commandment as said by some guy in another forum.
(I also had to translate it)

Should there be a ZOMBIE firefight map featuring the FLOOD?

Imagine the flood replacing elites and bursting out of blistering walls. You wouldn't have to worry about turning into a zombie. Just keep killing AI zombies in firefight mode. The flood are a great choice because they are infected USNC marines, etc. It'll diversify the combat for "living dead".

1-Gameplay concerns make gameplay a non-completely-rigid representation of stuff.
2-Games often combine the concept of "health" and "armour". Your armor is indeed helping a lot; it's the reason a single plasma pistol pip doesn't take you out.

if it were true to cannon a pistol round would barely scratch a spartans helmet let alone go through the armor, ballistics gel, airtight seals, and a spartans super dense metal fused bone...

the only gun that functions true to life in the halo games is the sniper, because i don't care how fancy you are, getting a 55 caliber slug to the head is going to do SOME damage.
