Not many people in general on any more. I'm not too sure as an Australian if you could get on many active games at the hours you'd be logged on.

Now, in the quantum moment before the closure, when all become one. One moment left. One point of space and time.

I know who you are.

You are Destiny.

I'm going to go with Halo 1 PC. It's a lot more widespread and funner to have LAN parties with >:D

I am Aussie! (VIC)

In Halo 2 I always find a match also Halo 1 still has quite a good playerbase.

you can find Halo 1 most JB-HI-FI stores.

GAME or EB would be your best chance for Halo 2

By the way, sorry I didn't directly answer your question. I just looked at what you put in your OP instead of the subject its self. More people play Halo: Combat Evolved. Definitely when you include Halo PC and Halo Custom Edition.

ok just wondering because I already have the halo custom edition, but i really miss playing hallo 2 online so im thinking about getting halo 2.

also, anyone know if its worth buying a wired controller for the PC? Im decent enough with M/K but I know im better with a controller.

50 in H2/H3? Great, but you still fail at this.

Skip Halo 2. Few people play it, and it's not as good as you thought it was.

Oh, and let's not forget mouse control is broken, so you gotta use gamepad, which has FREE AUTO AIM!

If you're better with controller I'd definitely use it instead of the keyboard/mouse. A lot of people say that the mouse is broken on h2v, but, I'm fine with it. For you I'd go with the wired, though.

Halo 2 is Halo 2. If you're wanting back the ranking system/the competitiveness, that's not in h2v. If you're wanting it for the core gameplay and the fun, it's all still there. It was worth it for me. I can't speak as to whether it will be worth it to you.

Mainly Halo Combat Evolved over Halo 2 PC.
But Halo Custom Edition and the Halo Trial game are the most played Halo PC games.

It may be worth a buy depending on how much you love Halo.

Just because it works for you, doesn't mean it works for everyone. For most people, it's choppy, while with the troller, it's suddenly smooth.

And halo 2 was never competetive.

I've seen up to 1,593 players at a time on Halo Combat Evolved for the PC. Halo 2? 55 players online at I time. Halo CE is worth more of your time.

I've seen even more then that on Custom Edition 1.00. Meanwhile, h2v is still 50-60, and falling.

I specifically said that for him I'd go with a controller and said that people say kb/m broken. I said that for me it works fine, not speaking for anyone else in saying that.

I'm not talking about the competitiveness of the game its self. I'm talking about there being a ranking system on h2x. I've got to ask, do you have that video on your bookmarks? It just seems pretty sad that you spend so much time focusing on spreading the fact that Halo 2 takes less skill than other games. People know about the hitboxes already, it's okay, we got the memo that you guys have been spreading around. We don't really care and just enjoy the gameplay/feel of the game, get over it. Don't try to force ideals. To each his own.

How is mouse control broken?
People claim that the aiming system with it is inconsistent. Smooth one second then jerky another. That it's either too fast or too slow (Can't remember which it is) and a few different things. I remember when I first started playing it was too fast, but, I set the sensitivity all the way down and it was fine. I can't say that it isn't broken, but, I know that I can play fine with it the way it is.

It jerks a lot, it's slow, laggy, hard to aim with, and doesn't get a free aimbot like the controller does.

Yeah, the 360 wired controller works the same as it does when you play Halo 2 on the Xbox.

I never thought there was anyhting wring with the mouse aiming. Maybe some people just have bad mice? lol
BUT, Halo 2 campaign is fun, but CE for online IMO.

I doubt it's because of bad mice. Hired Gun messed up quite a bit when making this port. It is probably a serious issue that I can deal with so well that I don't notice it.

Mouse and keyboard support was tacked on, while controller was in the xbox version. In fact, a plugged in controller emulates a xbox troller, as I got a controller 4 unplugged error on the PC port, and had to alt+f4 it. Another h2v bug, due to quick porting.

I think they fixed that bug. It never happened to me whilst playing. Thing is that just because it didn't happen to me doesn't mean it's still not bugged and I wasn't just lucky.

Anyways, there are lots of bugs due to Hired Gun's hasty porting. They're the dark side of h2v, but, if you know how to tolerate bugs in games (Like I do) you'll probably like it.

Although it's still crap, I've noticed that you can almost eliminate mouse lag if you crank all graphics to the lowest settings.
