Yeah they are not exactly legacy makers. They rather burn the past fast and bring in the new even faster.
Their economic model is to have a short memory and get the fastest to the future and their goal of profit. This is all my opinion and therefore could be completely wrong and I'm only looking at its gaming division's strategies in what I say here.
It's been working for them but they might exhaust the consumer with their careless strategies(i.e. me being exhausted by their lack of morals and giving up on them as a gaming company until they change their total disregard for... just about everything when it comes to their fans, Halo fans, and Halo 2 fans!).
That is how strongly I dis-like their attitudes to what got them where they are today i.e. Halo 2 and the money paid by people that thoroughly enjoyed and still enjoy it (although extremely hampered with lack of XBL support).
It's a shame I could talk about forever lol.

Well, most halo 2 playerscare annoyed because Microsoft pulled the plug on Halo 2. Well, if you take a look at high impact halo, Microsoft is cutting down itsvwebsite, leaderbuards ect. I know this has nothing to do with halo 2, bit me being a halo wars fan I am outraged. Wgat are your thoughts about Microsoft?
