This is off topic and I apologize in advance. I like many others seem to be experiencing cheating now more than ever. Now I have read the articles abou the "ban hammer" cracking down, but it literally seems that everytime you go into a team slayer game and you are above the level 30, you either A) get standbyed (I know, you claim that this doesnt happen, but check my gamer tag for the game at warlock, my team just one [i went in by myself, i had nothing to do with it, i was negative 2 on purpose] because two stand byers used the 3 to 5 second window masterfully, i couldnt even kill myself to stop them) 2) Boosting... all the time, or 3, the new and most popular) Bridging. Now I understand that these losers have no life and that there rank doestn accurately reflect their true skill level, but they seem to be doing it regardless anyway. It seems that the only way to stop cheating all out would be either to start banning credit card numbers or IP address, or switch X Box live over to centralized servers. How is it possible that I can play SOCOM 3 on PS2 and have to log into there servers and not get cheated on, but Microsoft itself cant dish out the money to not only decrease what many complain to be "the host issue" (when the host is more accurate and often times more powerful}. Switching over to servers would prevent bridging, help you better detect modding, and get rid of the lag issues. I know that you as programmers already know these benefits, but why is it that Microsoft wont do it? Is it a financial issue? Cheating is seriosuly ruining the online experience and something needs to be done to stop this. I plead for microsoft to step in and take a more decisive action.
