You were totally and absolutely correct in every way, I don't know why we were arguing, you're so amazing I should never have doubted you.

Elites, with or without their armor are nowhere near the strength of a SPARTAN-II in MJOLNIR.

No. Wrong.

From The Fall of Reach
The Elite recovered quickly and aimed at the Master Chief. The Master Chief jumped, grabbed its wrist. He locked his armor's glove articulation--it became a vice clamp.
They wrestled for control. The gun pointed at the alien, then the Master Chief.
The alien was as strong as the Master Chief.
They spun and bounced off the floor, ceiling, and walls. They were too evenly matched.

I think spartan IIs and higher ranking elites have more or less same strength BUT in close quater combat spartan IIs and even IIIs are better. Spartans have better reflexes and maybe skills too.

Halo is one of the most important part of my life.

I dont think they are equaly strong as a Spartan II but very similar.

Answer: Fly about 3 meters and with several bones broken, even if he survided that... its already dead.

Spartans II and III, on average, are the same in MJONLIR armor(strength, reflexes, so on). The difference is simply combat experience.

Though, to the people going "I've been killing Elites for a long time now, there is no way they are stronger!"

I must ask, did you kill every one with melee? Probably not, you most likely used gunfire to kill them.

Hold your horses there.

In CQB, it doesn't matter so much if one has greater strength than other, it's how you use it.
You can't gather needed potential/kinetic energy in situations such as close quarters battle, because you can't move your arms to gain speed.

Try hitting a boxing bag from close distance (1' or 30cm) and then compare it to hitting it from starting distance of at least 75cm, then go further. See how the strength of your hit increases along the speed of your fist... E(k)=1/2*m*v^2

It's stated that the armor amplifies ones strength, yes, but it cannot amplify to needed potential if it doesn't have that strength in the first place.

SPARTAN-II in MJOLNIR armor usually have the space to gather needed potential/movement energy to move such great masses. That's why they can move such enormous masses, and Elites can't. (Gameplay, remeber it's there to balance gameplay.)

I believe that Elites have greater strength compared to SPARTAN-II without MJOLNIR, but they are nowhere near the strength of a SPARTAN-II in MJOLNIR.

MJOLNIR DOESN'T USE ELECTRIC MOTORS, THIS HERE IS IRRELEVANT BUT I'M LEAVING IT HERE FOR GENERAL INFORMATION.
But you need to understand that electric motors don't have that torque when they start to move, it's when they gain the needed speed and spin fast. And that's a fact.

MJOLNIR doesn't have electric motors. It's a reactive crystalline layer in the armor that amplifies the movement/force of the wearer. If it was motors they could be scaled down for regular Marine use.

All right, no motors then. (It's a dumb idea, anyways. : D Joints? How could they even be made... : D)

But so, my statement still stands pretty strong. Motors weren't part of that text but a tiny bit. If there is not enough force to amplify, it cannot reach strength great enough for wrestling use against Elites that would give them (SPARTAN-IIs) some advantage, regular punches though would cause serious damage...

So yeah, nothing changed, my statement still stands strong.

Elites are on par with Spartans but Spartans have a number of advantages. Spartans have armour that gives them mechanized strength and so they have alot more endurance than elites , Elites also beleive strongly in honour , whilst spartans will do anything to win , and thirdly Spartans are more intelligent than elites.

An assassin will always carry on, even after death.

An Elite's punch would litterly take a marine's head off.

They're strong, very strong.

If Elites turned to mech suits spartans would be pretty much screwed
There on even ground pretty much now but if Elites had designed spartan like suits they would be insane to kill them.
And also to straighten some thing out Elites are the cleverest covenant of all the type's.

There much stronger then humans, But alot of people over rate there strength.

A spartan could mow down a elite without to much trouble. I hate it when people compare them to spartans.

They deffinatly are not impossible for humans to kill, I'd take a big ODST any day of the week over a elite minor.

As for brutes that a whole diffrent story haha.

Bungie themselves compare them to the Spartans.

In TFoR, the Chief gets into a fist fight with an Elite over a plasma pistol. They are so strong, it managed to hold the Chief, in full MJLONIR MK5 armor, off with just its claws and shear strength.

In the books, it says Sangheili are the physical-equals of Spartan-II's. In the games, not the same view; if you catch my drift.

So what would happen if an Elite punched a Marine according to Canon?

Halo Wars cutscene where Forge gets into a fight with Ripa.

Just another reason why a lot of us don't count Halo Wars as a true reflection of the Halo universe. A game where Elites suddenly think that long charges with spears can beat machine guns and shotguns.

might be too late to mention, but Ripa holds back to cause more pain. there was a lot of elites, and most likly that was an example of there pride. they would rather die mid-charge rather than steal a sniper and eliminate the threat

Probably go flying 15 feet away, with their damn long range Judo kicks.

elites dont seem to be designed for punching, look at their hands. their more the kicking type.
also in one of the books an elite stomps through
someones torso.

WTF ??/
When was this ? I got to know. plz.

Sangheili were trained from a young age as well. They are a warrior culture.

Anybody else want to see what happens if the SPARTAN-II augmentations were retrofitted for use with a Sangheili? Also, reactive armor.

They'd be kicking tanks around if it weren't for the fact that tank beats everything.

This is my new favorite comment, of ALL time.

It was also supposed to be a fun, simple story of good vs evil. And we all know that the evil in this kind of story suffer from a common medical ailment often referred to as the Stormtrooper Effect

On average they're equal to a Spartan II in MJOLNIR, so they'd kick the -blam!- out of any normal human.

Now if the Elites had MJOLNIR armor on top of their already massive strength (like the Spartans do), it's not even a contest.
