Something that people don't seem to understand. Until ~2001 Bungie was an indie studio. "Indie" means that they make the game and publish it. When microsoft acquired them they became a game development studio. They made the game and then microsoft would publish it. It is up to the publisher to decide what platform they want to target. Halo 1 was ported to PC because it was already in the works to be a PC game when Microsoft acquired them. Microsoft owns the rights to Halo 1, 2, 3, ODST, and Reach (I don't know enough about Wars, but I'd imagine so). It is entirely up to microsoft if they want to do a port to PC or not. Also, considering that sawnose still updates Halo PC and they included a special nameplate feature in Reach for people that had Halo PC and still played clearly indicates that they don't forget their PC roots. Anyone that knows Oni, Marathon, Myth, PiD, and Minotaur knows that they are dedicated to delivering a quality product to PC. I still have my marathon CD and manual. In the manual was a card with the full retail serial plus a network serial. This network serial was designed so that when you bought the game you could install it on a second computer on your network and play LAN games. I have not seen many game devs that would do this. It is not that they don't care or that they are making fun of PC gamers, they are unable to do it.
