Subject: Halo 2 without live?

I put halo 2 on my computer and everything was fine for the first few days. But now every time I start the game when it says, press any key to continue, it brings up some live sign in rather than the menu (campaign, live, setting, etc..) This computer is not a computer I use for Internet so i have no interest in playing it on live.
I did hook it up to the net just to try to make it go away, and I made an account. But it will log into the account, then want to update. Every time the update fails, even when I try to just download the patch offline..
Is there any way to get it to just show me the regular menu when I start it up without all the live BS? Thanks.

50 in H2/H3? Great, but you still fail at this.

Download the halo 2 update from the offical site, and gfwl 3.4 from here

I would but as soon as i strat halo it goes to the live login. I cant even get to the regular menu where I can select campaign... and if i tell it not to do the update i just goes back to the "press any key to continue screen". And if i push a key, to the windows live login...

Ummm, your dylexia makes it hard for me to understand. Just install the gfwl update and make an offline account. Use google on how to.

Don't think you can make offline accounts anymore. Not 100% on that, though.

Well I installed the patch and the live update. Still does the exact same thing. Does everyone get asked to sign into live before they even get the game menu? I didn't used to untill one day it just decided to stop letting me play the campaign without logging into something...

If I was confusing before, here's what's happening. I run the game, it says press any key to continue, I do. Next it brings up some live login, I put in all my info. First it says downloading profile, then it says there's an update. If I tell it to update the game closes and nothing happens, if I tell it not to update then it goes back to the press any key to contunue screen.

It is driving me crazy that it wont just let me PLAY the F****** GAME! I don't want to play online! Why did it take away the option to play the campaign after a few days of play?!?

I'm betting TC pirated it.

This is not a pirated version. I bout it and have a box, manual, (which really tells you nothing about actually useing the game at all), DVD, and product key.

Everyone gets asked to sign in.

And here is how to create a offline account.

Ah okay, yeah, you can make offline accounts still. It's different from how it used to be since the update. You just press the "Create New Account" option, then, the next window will come up with the option to continue. Don't. Just scroll all the way down to the bottom of the text and there will be a link for "Create local profile" or something to that effect. Click it and there's your local profile.
