I <3 drop shields

Seeing as they hiring people with PS3 experience if this rumor is true it would naturally follow that it would be for consoles in addition to PC. Kinda wishful thinking on my part, I've always wanted to see a console MMO work well.

Interesting.

I just don't wanna pay a monthly fee or anything like that.

I do not consider Kotaku to be a valid source, but this is an interesting theory you have presented.

Suck it Red!

Sounds like a good theory

I agree with you that I think it will be some kind of an MMO. However, that IGN article can't be cited as a source. IGN's source for that article was a Kotaku article (if I'm not mistaken). And this article was already proven to be false on its biggest claim. So, why should I believe this whole Destiny, codenamed Tiger business?
yea i said somewhere in my op how it wasnt really accurate, im not really into that whole code named tiger thing either, but i think the idea of an MMO shooter is still potentially strong, like a shooter w/ some sort of rpg element maybe too, in regards to like leveling up

If said game were online and pay to play....whom would the money go to?

Activision or Bungie?

Activision makes enough from WoW...so I wouldnt pay it if they received it.

Bungie can has all my monies though. :D

agreed

I was waiting for this thread to show up :)

I read the article today and now hopefully Bungie doesn't discontinue this article.

Gaffer's sure aren't thrilled about this news...

I'm still not sure what to think about it. I doubt it's going to be anything like we've seen before but subscription fees are all too likely...

Question is; How big a fan are you?

  • 03.03.2011 6:26 PM PDT

Hello

Bungie can pull it off

Don't want to kill fifty space rats for Keyes so you can get your epic Longsword mount?

Yeah, me neither.

subscription fees...

i think one of the bigger questioins is if this is going to hit consoles, at first youd think MMO, instantly on computer, but, i wouldnt know, if they did consoles tho, i would have no idea how they would run sub fees,

As long as there aren't subscription fees, I'm excited.

I've always wanted a sci-fi MMO, enough of this fantasy stuff like WoW.

  • 03.03.2011 6:38 PM PDT

MMO? No thanks.

I don't really want to pay for Xbox Live and then a subscription fee on top of that. I might stomach it if it is on PC.

Why can't we put Bungie Cards here?

I want them to do a futuristic stealth game in 2nd person with puzzle elements. Taking place in a 2000m office block. In one night.

Known by some, but not by all.
Soffish: Do not eat!
TWP Assistant Director.

The article says there was a panel today, March 3rd. in San Francisco.

At a panel session at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco today, Bungie lead network engineer David Aldridge confirmed to attendees that the developer's next title is a "massively multiplayer action game."

Rumors about the game have bounced around the internet in recent weeks, with anonymous sources describing the new project as "WoW in space." At his talk, titled "I Shot You First: Networking the Gameplay of Halo: Reach," Aldridge specifically noted that the title is not "WoW in space." So there you have it.

So the source is not from Kotuko. The source is from Mr. David Aldridge at the panel. Mr. Aldridge who works for Bungie as a Lead Network Engineer. So I would say that this information is accurate.

I knew it. All the signs were pointing towards an MMO; it's nice to have it (pretty much) confirmed.
I've always wanted Bungie to make an MMO, and I think it's got the potential to be awesome.
