They confirmed in an interview last summer that it would be at least be for the Xbox 360 and PS3.

It's probable that it will be for Computers as well.

I was hoping Bungie's next game would have some sort of multiplayer like Halo; but better. Not sure if that's going to happen now. Also wanted a campaign with a real deep sci-fi story and all.

I guess everything will be clear in time.

The article says there was a panel today, March 3rd. in San Francisco.

At a panel session at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco today, Bungie lead network engineer David Aldridge confirmed to attendees that the developer's next title is a "massively multiplayer action game."

Rumors about the game have bounced around the internet in recent weeks, with anonymous sources describing the new project as "WoW in space." At his talk, titled "I Shot You First: Networking the Gameplay of Halo: Reach," Aldridge specifically noted that the title is not "WoW in space." So there you have it.

So the source is not from Kotuko. The source is from Mr. David Aldridge at the panel. Mr. Aldridge who works for Bungie as a Lead Network Engineer. So I would say that this information is accurate.

I agree with you that I think it will be some kind of an MMO. However, that IGN article can't be cited as a source. IGN's source for that article was a Kotaku article (if I'm not mistaken). And this article was already proven to be false on its biggest claim. So, why should I believe this whole Destiny, codenamed Tiger business?

He was talking about this Article.

When I grow up, I want to be just like goofenhour.

I don't know how I feel about Bungie making MMO. That is if they are really making an MMO. But too many people are throwing out the door just because it's an MMO and they don't even know what the game is.

And trust me, I don't like MMO's as much as the next guy around here. But I'll give it a chance before I decide it's not a game for me.

Same here. Don't like MMO's at all. Especially the idea of paying for them; or even paying for items within the game.

30 vs 30. Large Battle Fields. Sounds uninteresting to me. Hoping that it's something else.

An MMO action game you say? Wouldn't mind if it was similar to the old PSO. Ah, the nostalgia.

It hasn't been confirmed to be a shooter of any sort, just an MMO. Although an MMO Shooter does sound like a very interesting concept.

Also, how in the world does Bungie plan to have an MMO on consoles? I have a hard time connecting to 16 people in Halo, much less an entire world of people.

That's a "Battlefield" type game, even Resistance 2 has been able to do that, and I would not consider either to be a MMOFPS.

Massive Multiplayer Online has to be like at least 1000+ on the same server.

You just explained the BattleField series there. Highly doubt it's anything like that.

Hopefully they have something like Mass Effects Codex in it if it is just multiplayer. However I hope that it has some single player to it.

yea the original post was abut speculation of previous stuff regarding what their next game would be, i even noted in that original post that i doubted the credibitly in relation to kotaku but still belived it would be an MMO,

just today edited in the info about its confirmation over @ GDC,

the post below was just speculation from earlier which actually turned out semi accurate so far

2/15/12: Francisco Porras, I'll miss you. Rest in Peace.

I just realized that Aerospace could be the name of their new game. In the past I have stated "Why would Bungie include their name in the title of their game". But I think it's more Bungie: Aerospace, as in Bungie owns their IP, not Activision.

Also the article says the game is a "massively multiplayer action game." not an action MMO. There's a difference between them. The reason I bring that up is because a lot of the people above me posting have starting saying MMO.
