I just started re-reading The Fall of Reach for... personal reasons. Anyway, I read something that didn't quite make sense to me. In Chapter 5, during the Mendez's field mission, it says that they are flying in a Dropship... 76 children are flying in a Dropship. It can be hard to guage scale in video games sometimes, but it seems to me that 76 children would not fit in the troop bay of a Pelican.
The book also describes Sam, John, and Kelly evaluating the terrain they're flying over. I know there is a window in the back of the Pelican, but it doesn't seem likely that they would be able to see out of it, due to their height.
Now the book doesn't say that they are in a Pelican, rather, it just refers to it as 'the dropship'. But later on in the chapter it again uses 'the dropship', but then John identifies it as a Pelican.
It's a very minute observation, I know, but I just wondered what your take on it was. There are no other types of dropships in the Halo universe so far as we know, so I just thought it was funny.
