Halo 2 for Life!

I'm speculating a bit but I remmember how difficult it was to aim when lag arrived and I wasn't host and I would miss a lot where in other situations it would hit (i.e. if I were host). I think that these large hit boxes and added auto aim actually was a "fix" to the loss of accuracy with lag.

I.e. Lag on Coagulation caused snipes from across the map to miss. If one were host it would hit everytime but with the lag even the aim assist and large hit box couldn't fix the problem with long distance sniping in that situation.

What do you guys think.

Games I like:,
Half-Minute Hero
MBU
Portal
Halo 3 is the best Halo ever
Maps I like: Turf, Avalanche, Pylon, Sandbox, Breakpoint and many more.

I think your right, after halo 2 was tested over a LIVE proto-type, I think the testers saw your problem.

This is the average H2 Fanboy.
Xfire: JacobGRocks.
50 in H2/H3? Great, but you still fail at this.

They didn't need to do that however, they just needed netcode that didn't suck worse then Justin Bieber. Look at Half Life, that ran on freaking 56k with no hitboxes. Yeah, that's right. Dial up with no hitboxes. Same with other 90s PC games like Quake, 56k yet no hitboxes. Back then, devs knew how to program decent netcode.

If bungie had licensed Source or Unreal, there would be no excuse.

The "Lag" excuse is used by people trying to justify the fact the game sucks.

Aim Assist (not Auto Aim) has nothing to do with lag. If a host player was walking a straight line and there was bad lag, you would see him walking a couple steps behind where he was really was. The Aim Assist wouldn't help here, it would just drag the reticle to the false image on your screen and prevent you from leading.
