Upon seeing that this forum is still active, I've decided ask here. Do not redirect me to another forum.
When it comes to Lone Wolves, I have the skill of a rank two. I'm currently a rank 15. How the hell that happened I'll never know. I need profesional help deranking myself. I'm aware that you can't go into this playlist with other people. What I'm looking for is advice and tips.
So far I've tried:
-sucking
-constantly dieing
-quitting

To explain how bad the situation is I'll admit this.
I ranked up by quitting.

EDIT: I hate derankers. I just want to play with people I stand a chance against in Lone Wolves so I can get the last few achievements.

"You build on failure. You use it as a stepping stone. Close the door on the past. You don't try to forget the mistakes, but you don't dwell on it. You don't let it have any of your energy, or any of your time, or any of your space." -Johnny Cash

I despise de-rankers, but since you do it in FFA, your an exception. IMO you should just play, but suck really bad to get your true skill down. I've never de-ranked before, but this is how my friend does it.

What do you mean by sucking really bad? I need details because I've tried this several ways.

On a side note, I hate derankers too. I just want to play with people I stand a chance against in Lone Wolves so I can get the last few achievements.

I see, then it's not really bad (it's not like your ruining someone's online experience). What I mean by sucking really bad is just going negative and placing last etc. Quitting doesn't do the job as great because the system is registering how bad your doing.

That only works for team games when griefing players to quit or betray you. He's talking about FFA.

Ok, I see. One problem is that so many people quit that I often end up placing 3rd or 4th.

Try to feed kills to the people doing the worst. This way everyone will be close in their scores.

I know. The more people that die, the faster the game ends, and the faster you lose thus lowering your rank.

I guess, but it doesn't really work as well as feeding kills or just sucking tremendously.

play something like TS until you get better. Then you won't have to derank.

Not really, but you can do what BR said if my tips don't work.

-_- uh huh.
Team gametypes won't help with free for all skill to much, now will they?

If you are looking to get better in FFA, you can always try Rumble Pit. Although it won't be the same or as challenging.

If you only have the skill of a two, you need as much practice as you can get

Also, there is no rank reset
